Gallagher Security tees off for Bravehearts fundraiser
Gallagher Security has announced plans for its fourth annual Charity Golf Day on Australia's Gold Coast, with proceeds going to child protection organisation Bravehearts.
The event will be held on 30 April at RACV Royal Pines Resort, running from 7:30am to 4:00pm. It is expected to draw end users, channel partners and other industry participants for a day of golf and fundraising.
Gallagher has positioned the day as a fixture on its annual calendar and an opportunity for its partner network to gather in person. The company works with integrators and technology suppliers across the region.
Bravehearts is best known for its child protection work, focusing on the prevention and treatment of child sexual abuse.
Craig Schutte, Executive Vice President for APAC and IMEA at Gallagher Security, linked the event to the company's fundraising track record since the initiative began.
"Since launching the annual charity golf day in 2023, Gallagher Security and our ecosystem have collectively raised an incredible AUD $113,000," Schutte said.
He said Gallagher aims to make this year's event the biggest yet, and highlighted Bravehearts' mission and the prevalence of the crime it addresses.
"Gallagher aims to make this year's event the biggest yet. Bravehearts undertakes vital work in our communities. They are dedicated to the prevention and treatment of child sexual abuse, a crime experienced by one in four Australians, and we're proud to play our part in supporting their efforts," Schutte said.
Sponsors list
This year's sponsors span security services, systems integration and access technology suppliers. The line-up includes ADT, Convergint, Hanwha Vision, Optic Security Group, PMT Security Systems, Salto Systems, Seadan Security and Electronics, Secom Technical Services, Traka and Travel Experts.
Schutte said sponsorship helps maximise the amount directed to Bravehearts. "This year's generous sponsors include ADT, Convergint, Hanwha Vision, Optic Security Group, PMT Security Systems, Salto Systems, Seadan Security and Electronics, Secom Technical Services, Traka, and Travel Experts whose support helps make the event possible, enabling more funds to be directed to Bravehearts' lifechanging programmes," he said.
Industry networking
Like many charity golf events in the technology and security sectors, the day combines fundraising with relationship-building among vendors, partners and customer organisations. The programme includes friendly competition, on-course activities and prizes, alongside networking with industry colleagues.
Schutte said the event welcomes players of all abilities. "We're incredibly excited to bring this event back for its fourth year, and we're deeply grateful for the ongoing support from our sponsors and everyone who continues to get behind it," he said.
Registrations are open, with Gallagher encouraging early sign-ups. Schutte reiterated the company's support for Bravehearts and the broader cause.
"Coming together to create a meaningful impact and support the critically important work of Bravehearts is something we remain firmly committed to. We're looking forward to another fantastic day on the green and to the collective difference we can make again this year," he said.
"Whether you're a seasoned golfer or simply keen for a fun day out while contributing to an important cause, the Annual Gallagher Security Charity Golf Day promises a day you don't want to miss," Schutte said.
