Gallagher Security has announced the appointment of Jon Liaros as the new Business Development Manager to bolster its operations in the NSW/ACT region.

Joining Gallagher Security on 13 January, Jon Liaros brings with him 25 years of experience in the security sector. His extensive background includes working for recognisable firms such as HID Global, Avigilon, Hills Limited, and Allegion. Throughout his career, Mr. Liaros has amassed skills in technical sales, account management, and regional leadership.

Scott Johnstone, Gallagher Security National Sales Manager – Australia, commented on the appointment, stating, "We are thrilled to have someone of Jon's calibre joining the team, and at such an exciting time for the NSW/ACT region. Throughout his career Jon has demonstrated his expertise and dedication to the industry, and his vast experience across various sectors and enthusiasm for the industry will be an asset to the region and the wider Australian business."

Mr. Liaros responded to his new role at Gallagher Security by expressing, "Joining a company renowned for its trusted and highly regarded access control systems is both an honor and a privilege. Gallagher's unwavering commitment to delivering reliable and innovative solutions sets the stage for an exciting and rewarding journey ahead."

He added further insights about his prospective contributions, "Looking ahead to 2025, Gallagher is ready to push the boundaries, leveraging cutting-edge technology and fostering strong industry partnerships to drive continued growth and success. The future is bright, and the opportunity to contribute to this outstanding brand's legacy is one that is embraced with enthusiasm."

In the words of Craig Schutte, Gallagher Security's Executive Vice President for APAC and IMEA, "After a significant year of growth and success across Australia in 2024, we are poised and excited for what this year will bring. The strength of our regional teams means we are well placed to continue unlocking greater value through the power of our solutions for our customers across Australia."

Gallagher Security had previously announced the merger of the New South Wales and Australian Capital Territory regions in December. This newly amalgamated region is now under the leadership of State Manager David Issa, a move anticipated to unify the strengths of the two states.

Scott Johnstone further emphasised the strategic implications of the regional merger, "We are committed to enhancing the partner and End User experience, and the merging of the two states will enable Gallagher to scale our in-region teams more effectively, responding to growth opportunities as required."
