Dean Matheson promoted to national role at Gallagher Security

Gallagher Security has announced the promotion of Dean Matheson to the position of National Technical Account Manager for Australia.

This move comes following a period of substantial growth for the company in the Australian market.

Dean Matheson, who has been with Gallagher for nearly two decades, previously held the role of Senior Technical Account Manager. He earned this promotion in May last year after serving as Technical Account Manager for Victoria and Tasmania for 18 years. His extensive tenure and contributions to the company have been instrumental in its regional success.

Commenting on his new position, Dean Matheson expressed his enthusiasm for the challenges ahead. "I am excited to embark on this next chapter of my Gallagher journey, to continue achieving great things with the Australian team, and deliver world-class systems and support for our partners and customers," he stated.

In his new role, Matheson will serve as the main conduit for all Gallagher's technical resources in Australia and will report to Mike Margrain, Gallagher Security's Technical Director for Asia Pacific, India, the Middle East, and Africa (APAC and IMEA). Margrain, who previously held the title of Regional Technical Manager for the same regions, recently saw his role expanded to reflect the increased scope and responsibilities brought about due to regional growth.

Craig Schutte, Gallagher Security's Executive Vice President for APAC and IMEA, highlighted the significance of Matheson's promotion. "Dean will be instrumental in driving Gallagher's technical vision and competitive edge across Australia. By engaging with industry stakeholders, providing training and support to the technical team, and collaborating with global counterparts, he will assist the wider Australia team to achieve its strategic goals and foster continued growth in the region. We are confident Dean will excel in this new role and continue to drive our success," Schutte said.

Phil Marr, Gallagher Security Operations Manager for APAC and IMEA, also expressed optimism about the positive impact of Matheson's new role.
