Com-X has been named Parallels ANZ Partner of the Year, recognising its work with customers in Australia and New Zealand.

The award centres on Com-X's deployment of Parallels Remote Application Server for organisations seeking to modernise application delivery and give staff access to business systems across locations and devices.

Parallels said the award reflected Com-X's technical delivery and consulting support on customer projects, and linked the recognition to demand from employers for secure, lower-cost ways to support distributed workforces.

That demand has grown as businesses review how employees access applications outside traditional office settings. Remote application delivery and digital workspace tools have become a larger part of IT spending as companies try to balance security, user access, and operational complexity.

In comments released with the award, Parallels highlighted Com-X's role in its regional channel network.

"We're proud to recognise Com-X as our number one ANZ partner," said Asif Khan, Country Manager - MEA, India and Asia Pacific, Parallels.

"The Com-X team has shown what true partnership looks like, driving real outcomes for customers across Australia and helping more businesses experience the power of Parallels RAS. The ANZ region is a priority for us, and partners like Com-X are a big reason why. Here's to what we'll build together next. Congratulations to the whole Com-X team," he added.

Regional market

Com-X operates in digital workspaces and cyber security, advising organisations on end-user computing, application access, and managed services. It said the latest award adds to a run of recent partner and industry recognition across Australia and New Zealand.

These include Citrix Partner of the Year and Marketing Partner of the Year for ANZ, along with Progress ShareFile Partner of the Year for ANZ. It was also named Best Digital Workspace Partner at the APAC Insider Australian Enterprise Awards.

The awards reflect an increasingly competitive market for specialist resellers and service providers focused on cloud-delivered applications, desktop virtualisation, and secure remote access. Vendors have relied heavily on partner networks to expand their reach in Australia and New Zealand, where mid-sized and large organisations often need external help to integrate workplace tools with security controls.

For Com-X, the Parallels award also supports its effort to position itself as an adviser on digital workspace strategy rather than only a software reseller. It said its work combines application delivery with cyber security planning and broader business goals.

Nick Cross, Director of Sales and Marketing, Com-X, said the company viewed the award as recognition of both market growth and customer trust.

"This award validates our leadership in the rapidly growing DaaS market and reflects the trust our customers place in us to deliver secure, value-driven outcomes. By aligning advanced cyber security with strategic business goals, we have cemented our position as the premier partner for secure digital workspaces in the region, turning security challenges into competitive advantages," said Cross.

Partner strategy

Parallels is one of several technology suppliers targeting demand for tools that let users access applications and files across operating systems and devices. Its Remote Application Server product operates in a market shaped by hybrid work, tighter cyber requirements, and pressure on IT budgets.

Com-X said it has built its partnership with Parallels by helping customers simplify application delivery, improve security, and reduce complexity in IT environments. That approach reflects a broader trend in the channel, where customers increasingly want fewer overlapping tools and clearer management of remote access risks.

It also described the award as a reflection of its internal team and customer base.

"We value our synergy with Parallels as Com-X continues to lead the region in secure application delivery," said Cross.

"This award belongs to our team and our customers, whose trust drives us to redefine excellence in the digital workspace ecosystem," he added.
