Genetec names ANZ partner awards winners in Vietnam

Tue, 28th Apr 2026 (Today)

Genetec has announced the winners of its 2025 ANZ channel partner awards, presented at its regional Asia-Pacific partner gathering in Vietnam.

Convergint received the ANZ Partner of the Year award. PMT Security, JD Security, Fortis Security, ACG Integration and MGA Electronic Security were also recognised across categories tied to work completed during the 2025 financial year.

The programme covered partners in Australia and New Zealand, highlighting sales performance, project delivery, technical work, and adoption of cloud-based and hybrid security systems. Almost 60 distributors, channel partners and technology alliance organisations from across Asia Pacific attended the event where the awards were announced.

Convergint, which operates in Perth and Melbourne, won the top regional award after recording the highest FY25 revenue among Genetec's ANZ partners. It was also recognised for its collaboration with Genetec on customer accounts.

Melbourne-based PMT Security took Unified Partner of the Year for the second year in a row. The award was linked to its work on hybrid deployments spanning on-premises and software-as-a-service systems, along with new client wins, including its first new SaaS customer in Queensland.

PMT Security also received the inaugural Genetec Cloud Partner of the Year award, reflecting its adoption of Genetec's SaaS products, engineer certification, customer growth, and work with the vendor's commercial, research and product teams on several proof-of-concept projects.

Sydney-headquartered JD Security won Project of the Year for the second consecutive year for work on what Genetec described as one of the largest intermodal terminal contracts in Australia.

Melbourne-based Fortis Security was named Access Control Partner of the Year after upgrading the access control system at one of Australia's largest airports in what Genetec described as the region's biggest Mercury installation.

ACG Integration, from Sydney, collected the Technical Excellence of the Year award for creating an integration for one of Australia's largest banks.

MGA Electronic Security, headquartered in Melbourne, won Rising Star of the Year after completing engineering certification and migrating new public sector organisations to Genetec's systems.

Channel focus

The awards offer a snapshot of where demand is moving in the physical security market across Australia and New Zealand. Several categories pointed to increased take-up of hybrid and cloud-based deployments, while others highlighted large infrastructure, airport and banking projects that rely on complex integrations and long sales cycles.

Genetec sells its products through a partner network rather than directly in most markets, making channel performance central to its regional growth strategy. It says it serves more than 42,500 customers in over 159 countries through accredited partners and consultants.

Its broader product range includes video management, access control, automatic number plate recognition, intrusion detection, intercom and digital evidence management. The company is headquartered in Montreal and has been active in physical security software for more than 25 years.

In Oceania, recognition for projects involving airports, freight terminals, banks and public sector migrations points to sustained spending by critical infrastructure operators and government-linked customers. It also suggests competition among partners is increasingly shaped by their ability to manage mixed environments, where older on-site systems are being connected with newer subscription-based tools.

This year's awards introduced a dedicated cloud category, underlining the vendor's push to expand software-as-a-service sales through its channel. PMT Security's double win in the unified and cloud categories suggests partners that can support both traditional and hosted deployments are becoming more important to suppliers and customers alike.

George Moawad, Country Manager for Oceania at Genetec, highlighted that shift in a statement accompanying the awards.

"The Genetec Oceania partner ecosystem continues to play a key role in the success of our business, and this year's award winners reflect the strength and capability of that network.

Over the past year, we have increased our investment in the channel through expanded regional support, partner tools, and training to help our partners build capability and win more business in 2026 and beyond.

This has translated into significant year-on-year growth in net new customers for Genetec and our partners, as organisations look for flexible, end-to-end security solutions.

We congratulate all our award-winning partners and thank our broader partner network for their ongoing commitment to delivering high-quality services and solutions. We look forward to continuing to build strong, transparent partnerships and driving mutual success in the year ahead," Moawad said.
