The XDR Alliance has added two new members, CyberArk and Recorded Future.
These are the latest cybersecurity innovators to join the alliance and express their commitment to collaboration and an open, inclusive and collaborative extended detection and response (XDR) framework.
These newest member additions extend Identity Security and Threat Intelligence expertise to the alliances technical scope, the alliance states.
Chief strategy officer of Exabeam and founder of the XDR Alliance, Gorka Sadowski, says, “We are inspired by the momentum of the XDR Alliance as we continue advancing the state of security for the broader industry.
"We welcome CyberArk and Recorded Future to the alliance. Their diverse cybersecurity expertise will serve to further strengthen organisations security operations centres (SOCs) and accelerate the building of an open XDR framework.
CyberArk and Recorded Future spokespeople also commented on the addition to the XDR Alliance.
CyberArk chief strategy officer and head of corporate development Clarence Hinton says, “Stemming the tide and impact of increasingly targeted and damaging attacks takes a community of partners to help organisations secure identities and detect and respond to ongoing threats.

The charter of the XDR Alliance is:
- To define and promote an open XDR framework and architecture that best works for end users
- To help SecOps teams better integrate new and evolving applications and technologies
- To make it easier to deliver on the value-add use cases that their organisations require; to ensure interoperability across the XDR security vendor solutions set
- To collaborate on XDR market education and awareness
XDR Alliance members are representative of complementary technologies in security analytics, security information and event management (SIEM), endpoint, email, identity, cloud, network, and OT/IoT security and threat intelligence, collaborating to provide open XDR and threat detection, investigation and response (TDIR).
Alliance subcategories also include managed security service providers (MSSPs), managed detection and response services (MDRs) and systems integrators (SIs).
Founding members of the XDR Alliance include cybersecurity companies Armis, Exabeam, Expel, ExtraHop, Google Cloud Security, Mimecast, Netskope and SentinelOne.
The members of the XDR Alliance state they are motivated to encourage cybersecurity and IT vendors to participate in the alliance for the continuous improvement of TDIR outcomes for security professionals everywhere.
