CrowdStrike & Salesforce boost AI security with joint platform
CrowdStrike and Salesforce have announced a strategic partnership to deliver enhanced security for AI-powered agents and enterprise applications.
The new collaboration focuses on integrating CrowdStrike's Falcon Shield with Salesforce Security Centre, and embedding CrowdStrike's Charlotte AI within Agentforce for Security and Slack. This enables security and business teams to access increased visibility, compliance assistance, and protection for critical workflows operating in AI environments.
Partnership details
Through the integration between Falcon Shield and Salesforce Security Centre, administrators and security professionals gain tools to simplify oversight of software-as-a-service (SaaS) applications, particularly those powered by AI agents. This supports the drive for both effective governance and stronger security posture in businesses utilising AI capabilities on the Salesforce Platform.
CrowdStrike's Charlotte AI will be accessible through Agentforce for Security, facilitating direct collaboration in Slack, where it can identify potential threats and recommend actions in a conversational style. This approach aims to embed security procedures within standard enterprise workflows, reducing delays and improving response efficiency.
The introduction of these tools addresses the changing security landscape as organisations deploy more AI agents. Monitoring and controlling these agents to prevent misuse or compromise has become a key requirement, and the partnership responds by increasing transparency and control in AI-powered business environments.
Company statements
"Adversaries are already targeting AI agents and applications with identity-based attacks. Together with Salesforce, we're extending the power of the Falcon platform to protect mission-critical workflows and secure the next generation of AI-powered business," said Daniel Bernard, Chief Business Officer at CrowdStrike. "By integrating Falcon Shield into Salesforce Security Centre and bringing Charlotte AI into Agentforce, business and security teams gain a unified view of risk and response – protecting today's operations while enabling tomorrow's AI-driven enterprise."
Brian Landsman, Chief Executive Officer of AppExchange and Global Partnerships at Salesforce, added, "A key to unlocking the full potential of agentic AI lies in the ability to secure it. Our partnership with CrowdStrike ensures that our customers can build their agentic enterprises on Salesforce while maintaining the highest standards of security and compliance."
Technical features
The integration of Falcon Shield offers multiple security enhancements, including the ability to trace AI agents to their human developers. This creates a verifiable chain of accountability, which is essential for privilege governance and audit purposes.
The system is designed to proactively detect risky behaviours, such as misconfigurations, over-privileged agents, or unusual activities within Salesforce. When a threat is detected, Falcon Fusion automates response measures, such as blocking risky access or disabling compromised AI agents, directly from the Salesforce Security Centre.
The unified solution combines Falcon Shield with Falcon Next-Gen Identity Security and Falcon Cloud Security, granting end-to-end control over agents created with Salesforce's Agentforce platform and related applications.
Incident response in Slack
With Charlotte AI now available in Slack via Agentforce for Security, teams can benefit from improved incident response. Security teams may instantly create dedicated response channels for specific incidents, ask questions about threats or system status using natural language, and take remedial action – such as isolating compromised devices – without leaving their chosen collaboration tool.
This integration is expected to reduce the time taken to identify, investigate, and respond to security incidents across organisations using Slack as a core communication platform.
Product roll-out
The Falcon Shield integration is set to be available within Salesforce Security Centre and through the Salesforce AppExchange. Charlotte AI's integration into Slack using Agentforce for Security will be accessible via the AgentExchange and Slack Marketplace.
CrowdStrike and Salesforce both indicate that these integrations will enhance the protection and visibility available to enterprises deploying AI for mission-critical operations, supporting secure and compliant adoption of advanced AI technologies now and into the future.
