Cequence Security announces strategic partnership with Netskope

Fri, 6th Sep 2024

Cequence Security has announced a new partnership with Netskope, a firm known for its Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) solutions. Through this collaboration, Netskope customers will have access to Cequence's unique API threat intelligence via the Cequence Unified API Protection (UAP) platform. This integration aims to provide actionable insights into real-world threats and enhance the overall security posture of organisations.

The increasing utilisation of APIs has created a multifaceted threat landscape. Cybercriminals frequently target these APIs and employ automated attacks, including bot activities, resulting in potential data breaches, compliance issues, and financial ramifications. Effective security solutions are, therefore, imperative to safeguard sensitive information and maintain business continuity.

Andy Horwitz, SVP of Global Partner Ecosystems at Netskope, commented on the partnership: "Our partnership with Cequence represents a step forward in realising our shared vision of a zero-trust world. Customers can now extend Netskope’s SSE platform by incorporating Cequence's API threat intelligence into our platform. We are enhancing the ability to safeguard against API vulnerabilities and bot threats and also enabling organisations to boldly pursue digital transformation with heightened confidence and security."

Cequence employs advanced machine learning models to analyse a substantial volume of anonymised traffic, which aids in identifying and fingerprinting malicious actors and their attacks. The company leverages multi-dimensional behavioural analysis to accurately differentiate between legitimate and malicious traffic patterns, including those stemming from proxy networks. This sophisticated threat intelligence has now been integrated with the Netskope platform, offering clients the capability to proactively block known malicious threats and ensure up-to-date protection for mission-critical APIs and applications.

"Cequence is proud to integrate its API security capabilities with Netskope," stated Arun Gowda, VP of Business Development at Cequence. "Our advanced AI and machine learning capabilities are designed to identify and neutralise malicious actors worldwide, providing real-time protection for customers' business-critical APIs. This groundbreaking partnership with Netskope allows us to offer an unprecedented level of security, helping to ensure that businesses can understand risky activities, protect sensitive data, stop online threats, and respond to incidents with speed and agility against evolving cyber threats."

The Cequence Unified API Protection platform helps organisations discover, comply, and protect their APIs and applications against attacks, business logic abuse, and fraud.

The integration is positioned to enable organisations to bolster their security frameworks significantly. It provides the necessary tools to navigate an increasingly complex cyber environment, thereby ensuring the protection of sensitive data and critical business operations.
