Ansvar partners with Interactive to modernise tech & boost security

Thu, 30th May 2024

Ansvar, an insurance provider operating in Australia for over six decades, is modernising its technology with the assistance of Interactive, a prominent IT service provider. This partnership aims to enhance Ansvar's risk management capabilities, particularly in data protection and regulatory compliance.

Interactive has been collaborating with Ansvar since 2016, offering a comprehensive suite of managed services that align with Ansvar's core values and ability to adapt to regulatory changes. The focus of this partnership is ensuring data security without compromising system uptime, which is critical for Ansvar’s operations, encompassing sectors dealing with sensitive information.

Heather Santin, IT Manager at Ansvar, highlighted the importance of agility in adopting new technology to manage business risks effectively. "It is our business to understand risk," Santin stated. "As business needs change and new technology comes about, we need to be agile in identifying and adopting these improved platforms, enabling the business to understand and manage risk and gain leverage."

To meet the growing operational demands stemming from significant business growth, Ansvar is transitioning from a private cloud to a public cloud platform. Interactive's cybersecurity and cloud services facilitate this migration, which is expected to enhance risk mitigation and scalability and streamline operations. This move is designed to enable end users to work more efficiently, access essential information and applications from anywhere, and improve customer service and employee experience.

Part of the technology upgrade includes a comprehensive migration to Microsoft 365, facilitated by Interactive. This change has improved Ansvar’s communication and workflow through tools like Teams, Outlook, and other file-sharing utilities, enhancing collaboration, productivity, security, scalability, and cost savings.

Christopher Thomas, Account Executive at Interactive, emphasised the aligned goals of both companies, especially regarding security at the core of innovation and modernisation efforts. "It is rewarding for us to support Ansvar as it looks to build a robust technology strategy for the future," Thomas added.

In line with bolstering its cybersecurity posture, Ansvar implemented a suite of cyber security awareness training modules and materials for customers and brokers with the help of Interactive. This initiative aims to ensure all areas of the business remain informed and vigilant about cyber security, reinforcing Ansvar's commitment to protecting data.

Heather Santin pointed out the necessity of a reliable and secure network for maintaining uninterrupted critical information flow, enhancing service quality, and simplifying administrative tasks. "In a rapidly changing technological environment, a solution that’s perfect today may not be suitable tomorrow. When we started our work with Interactive, we were looking for a strong partner to future-proof Ansvar, and that’s exactly what we found."

The partnership allows Ansvar to concentrate on its core business activities, an essential aspect for an insurer managing sensitive operations. With Interactive’s support, Ansvar can manage a growing workforce, ensure seamless communication and service delivery, and maintain its high standards and compliance obligations.
