ACA Pacific expands portfolio to address IT costs & cyber risks
ACA Pacific has announced new distribution agreements with NORD Security, ThreatDown by Malwarebytes, and StorMagic, aiming to address cybersecurity threats and rising IT operational costs facing Australian businesses.
The distributor is introducing these vendors to its Australian and New Zealand reseller and managed service provider network, targeting the needs of companies grappling with complex digital risks and the economic pressures associated with maintaining secure hybrid work environments.
Focus on cyber threats and costs
Australian organisations are reportedly contending with sophisticated cyber threats, particularly as hybrid and remote working continue to reshape corporate IT requirements. Simultaneously, many are seeking alternatives to higher-cost incumbent virtualisation and infrastructure vendors in the wake of industry consolidation.
Mark Gill, General Manager at ACA Pacific, said the agreements are a response to mounting pressure on enterprise IT operations.
"Our partners are hearing it from every corner of the market, from medium businesses to large enterprises," said Mark Gill. "Organisations are being squeezed by increasingly sophisticated cyber threats on one side, and a high operating cost crisis on the other. This isn't just a portfolio update; it is to provide Australian companies viable, high-performance alternatives that secure their operations and protect their budgets."
Three vendor approach
NORD Security brings offerings such as NordLayer, which provides secure network access built on a zero-trust architecture. This is intended to help safeguard hybrid workers and business resources, according to the distributor. Additional products include NordPass, a password management tool, and NordStella, which monitors for data breaches.
ThreatDown by Malwarebytes, previously the corporate-focused division of Malwarebytes, delivers endpoint protection, detection, and response solutions. The company notes that ThreatDown is intended to be accessible for both IT teams and managed service providers, providing tools for efficient threat neutralisation and limiting business disruption without the premium price tag often associated with enterprise-grade cybersecurity.
StorMagic's solutions cater to the virtualisation and storage needs, particularly of distributed organisations. Its hyperconverged infrastructure technology enables high availability and data resilience with a small hardware footprint. This, according to ACA Pacific, is designed to meet the needs of sectors like retail, manufacturing, and branch operations, and provide an alternative to existing virtualisation vendors post recent industry mergers and acquisitions.
Support for channel partners
ACA Pacific said the introduction of NORD Security, ThreatDown by Malwarebytes, and StorMagic is intended not only to equip partners with new tools but also to support them with training and resources. Partners throughout Australia and New Zealand will have access to product training, sales enablement support, and marketing materials as part of the roll-out.
The company is positioning the new portfolio as a response to what it sees as an urgent need among Australian businesses for more affordable and effective IT solutions in the face of ongoing cyber risks and rising costs linked to IT infrastructure, particularly in hybrid and remote workforce settings.
