Wesco named exclusive US distributor for Acre Security
Wesco has entered into an exclusive distribution agreement in the United States with Acre Security, positioning Wesco as Acre's sole US distribution partner for its access control and upcoming intrusion solutions.
Under the agreement, Wesco will distribute Acre's cloud-native access control platform and forthcoming intrusion offerings across the US market. The companies said the partnership is intended to support a broader industry shift from on-premise systems to subscription-based security technologies.
The arrangement also establishes Wesco as a key strategic partner supporting Acre's global growth ambitions.
Distribution scale
Wesco will leverage its distribution network and services capabilities to deliver Acre's access control and intrusion portfolio to a wider customer base.
The agreement spans both on-premise and cloud-native platforms within Acre's product range. Customers will have access to Wesco's support services and sales channels as they adopt new security technologies.
"By aligning Wesco's distribution scale and robust services offering with Acre's unified platform offerings - including cloud-native access control and intrusion solutions - the partnership enables a more seamless transition for customers evolving from traditional security architectures to cloud-native, future-ready solutions," said Tara Dunning, Vice President, Converging Technology, Global Strategy and Sales, Communications & Security Solutions, Wesco.
Wesco operates more than 700 sites globally, including distribution centres, fulfilment centres and sales offices in around 50 countries. The company reported approximately USD $24 billion in annual sales in 2025 and employs around 21,000 people.
Cloud transition
The companies said the agreement is designed to accelerate the transition from legacy, on-premise security systems to cloud-based platforms.
Acre's portfolio includes both established on-premise systems and cloud-native platforms that combine access control and intrusion detection capabilities.
The companies said the collaboration will allow customers to modernise security infrastructure at their own pace, with options across different deployment models.
"At Acre, we believe security should evolve without friction," said Kumar Sokka, Chief Executive Officer, Acre Security. "Wesco's global reach and trusted reputation make it an ideal partner to help us deliver smarter, integrated security solutions at scale. Together, we're making it easier for organizations to move forward – with clarity, confidence and control.
"Our agreement will support organizations navigating complexity, regulation and rising threat levels," said Sokka. "It reinforces Acre's position as a trusted leader in enterprise-grade security and continues its investment in a unified, future-proof approach for customers around the world."
