
Verkada names Micah Deriso as new head of global channel
Verkada has announced the appointment of Micah Deriso as Head of Global Channel to lead its global channel strategy and partnerships.
Deriso is tasked with ensuring Verkada's partners possess the necessary resources, tools, and support to grow their businesses, thus enhancing safety and security for customers. Verkada, which provides cloud-based physical security solutions, has more than 30,000 customers in 93 countries and collaborates with over 8,400 partners. These partnerships are crucial in delivering Verkada's solutions to organisations worldwide.
Eric Salava, Chief Revenue Officer at Verkada, stated, "Micah is a seasoned leader with a strong track record in the technology industry, making him the ideal candidate to bring our channel organization to the next level. Under his leadership, we'll deepen our relationships with our channel partners—providing them with the tools, expertise, and innovative solutions they need to grow their businesses and enhance safety and security for organizations worldwide."
Prior to joining Verkada, Deriso was the Chief Growth Officer at K2View, where he was responsible for global channel partnerships and the go-to-market strategy for Generative AI solutions. He has also held senior sales and channel leadership roles, including Senior Vice President and General Manager of Conga, as well as Vice President of Sales at Informatica.

The appointment of Deriso comes after Verkada's Series E funding round, which raised USD $200 million and resulted in the company being valued at USD $4.5 billion. In addition to Deriso's appointment, Verkada has recently appointed Boudewijn Pesch as Vice President of JAPAC Channel Sales to further its investment in international markets.
Verkada has taken steps to recognise its growing partner community by celebrating its Partners of the Year, who have shown notable growth, customer commitment, and collaboration. The company is continuing to expand investments in co-marketing programmes and partner resources and training, enabling integrators, resellers, distributors, and installers to seize new opportunities.
