Verkada appoints new regional VPs for ANZ & ASEAN

Today

Verkada has appointed Steve Bray as Regional Vice President for Australia and New Zealand and Blake Day as Head of ASEAN.

Steve Bray will be based in Verkada's Sydney office and is set to lead the company's go-to-market strategy and operations for Australia and New Zealand. He brings more than two decades of experience in enterprise technology and software-as-a-service (SaaS) across Australia and New Zealand.

Bray's previous leadership positions include roles at Cloudflare, Zendesk, Salesforce, and Oracle. Verkada stated that his deep relationships within the Australia and New Zealand IT channel, as well as a strong record of scaling go-to-market operations, are expected to be important for continuing the company's regional growth.

Discussing his appointment, Steve Bray said: "Verkada sets a new standard for simplicity and scalability in physical security. As organizations across Australia and New Zealand look for modern, future-proofed solutions to help them keep their people and places safe, Verkada is perfectly positioned to support them, and continue growing our presence in the region."

Blake Day will oversee regional growth for ASEAN from Verkada's headquarters in Singapore. He joins the company after more than eight years with Workday, where he held responsibilities both in the United States and Singapore. His most recent three years were spent leading Workday's Singapore business, during which time he contributed to expanding the company's presence and building its customer base across the ASEAN region.

Eric Salava, Chief Revenue Officer at Verkada, commented on the appointments: "Demand for Verkada's cloud-based security solutions across Australia, New Zealand, and South East Asia continues to grow. The addition of proven leaders like Steve and Blake to our team underscores our deep commitment to these fast-growing markets and the opportunity ahead of our team as we make even more communities across the world safer."

Verkada's leadership team in the Asia-Pacific region operates during a period of significant growth. According to the company, its customer base in the region has expanded by 60% over the past year. The expansion of Verkada offices in both Sydney and Singapore was undertaken to support the increases in staffing and regional operations.

The company has also announced new partnerships with several integrators and channel partners across the region. These partners include Bluechip Infotech, Focus Digital Security Solutions, Field Solutions Holdings, LG CNS, and Takachiho Koheki.

Verkada offers six product lines: video security cameras, access control, environmental sensors, alarms, workplace solutions, and intercoms. All product lines are managed via an integrated, cloud-based software platform. According to the company, over 30,000 organisations across 93 countries, including 91 of the Fortune 500, use Verkada solutions for physical security management.
