FYI, this story is more than a year old

The Auth0, a product unit within Okta, has announced the launch of the Auth0 Identity Platform on Microsoft Azure.

The launch will give customers the option to choose Azure as their cloud deployment option from Auth0. Having Azure as a private cloud option will help organisations seeking a strategic fit with their technology stack, supporting regional data residency capabilities and better control over customer data.

Auth0 says organisations today are moving to the cloud. Selecting a Customer Identity and Access Management (CIAM ) solution requires significant control over sensitive customer data, which may require local data residency capabilities.

"Organisations often need to make the hard choice of selecting either a CIAM solution that supports their product differentiation goals, or one that meets their technical requirements and regulatory needs," says Auth0.

"Auth0's modern identity platform eliminates the need to choose by providing them with tools designed to support security, compliance, and data residency needs that may apply, across multiple regions globally.

The company says the platform's design can accelerate their time to value and go-to-market strategies to meet long-term growth goals.

Some key benefits of the Auth0 Identity Platform on Azure include:

Technology stack alignment: Organisations have the flexibility to choose Azure as their preferred cloud vendor for a better technology stack alignment with existing investments in Azure.
Data residency: Improved data residency capabilities for Auth0 customers with Azure's widespread geographic infrastructure.
Streamlined experience with private cloud: A modern, cloud-native platform built with a focus on security and compliance at every level.

"As more applications move to the cloud and expand globally, organisations depend on their identity service to protect and manage access for their most critical users, applications, and data," says Auth0 chief product officer, Shiv Ramji.

"The Auth0 Identity Platform on Azure can help unlock a secure and compliant cloud deployment experience for organisations seeking support across CIAM use cases. This is especially true for organisations in industries like retail or financial services, where selecting vendors not competitive to their business is a top priority.

"Such as organisations operating in regions where certain cloud providers have higher geographic availability, and those that have existing technology investments in Azure," he says.

Microsoft Corp global senior director, SCI Business Development, Mandana Javaheri, says companies like Auth0 add value by integrating their solutions with Microsoft Azure.

"With Azure, Auth0 customers have ultimate performance capabilities and control over their environment without the hassle of maintaining it," she says, "allowing customers to focus more on their core business proposition."
