Tesserent Academy & ALC gain ISACA Elite Plus Partner accreditation
Thu, 22nd Feb 2024

Professional training organisations Tesserent Academy and ALC Training, part of Thales Cyber Solutions, have achieved ISACA Elite Plus Partner accreditation, becoming the country's first Accredited Training Organisation (ATO) to offer ISACA-endorsed credentials. These internationally recognised qualifications are sought-after within the dynamic field of cybersecurity.

Tesserent Academy was launched in April 2021 to address cybersecurity industry skills shortages in Australia and New Zealand. It assists students ranging from recent high school graduates seeking their start in cybersecurity to mature-age students looking to undertake a career pivot into cybersecurity. Additionally, it aims to upskill talent within Tesserent, its partners, and its clients. Furthermore, it seeks to accelerate technically advanced training for people in the industry seeking to bolster their skills and proficiency.

ISACA has independently evaluated and confirmed the consistent, high-calibre content delivered through the services and products of Tesserent Academy and ALC Training. Indeed, these organisations can meet the needs of those pursuing careers in cybersecurity and those keen to enhance existing industry qualifications.

Kurt Hansen, CEO of Tesserent, expressed his pleasure regarding the new accreditation, "We are delighted that ISACA has accredited the courses and qualifications offered by Tesserent Academy and ALC Training in the Australian market."

Hansen affirmed the mission to address the escalating demand for cybersecurity skills, asserting, "We are committed to upskilling the talent pipeline the industry desperately needs. This will help fulfil the growing demand for cybersecurity workers. This will ensure our nation's defences are strengthened and robust as we meet the Federal Government's goal to make our nation the most cyber secure by 2030."

As an ATO, ALC Training can award several key ISACA credentials, including Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC), Certified in the Governance of Enterprise IT (CGEIT), COBIT 2019 Certificates, and Certified Data Privacy Solutions Engineer (CDPSE). These accreditations demonstrate broad-ranging knowledge and proficiencies in cybersecurity, information control and privacy solutions engineering.

Tanya Rose, ISACA VP of Product Management, confirmed the importance of the accreditation, stating that "The Accredited Training Program ensures consistent and effective training content and delivery that helps meet global demand by creating a strong pool of highly qualified ISACA trainers." She added that this "helps professionals worldwide have better access to ISACA's globally recognised certifications."

Andrew Shea, Managing Partner of Tesserent Academy and ALC Training, voiced his excitement about achieving the Elite Plus Partner status with ISACA in the Australia/APAC region. He highlighted this as a key moment in their continued efforts to provide first-rate cybersecurity training. "Tesserent Academy and ALC Training are part of the broader Tesserent and Thales cyber solutions group and a leading provider of cybersecurity services in Australia and New Zealand."

"We are thrilled to become the first Elite Plus Partner for ISACA in Australia/APAC. This partnership solidifies our commitment to delivering exceptional cyber security training in the market," said Shea.
