Saviynt appoints Ehud Amiri as Senior VP for Product Management

Thu, 19th Sep 2024

Ehud Amiri, a seasoned professional in the field of identity security, has joined Saviynt as Senior Vice President of Product Management.

In his new role, Amiri will lead the product management team, focusing on securing machine identities, also known as non-human identities (NHI), a critical area within Saviynt's scope of innovation in identity security.

Amiri brings over two decades of experience in cybersecurity product leadership. Before joining Saviynt, he was the Vice President of Products for Aqua Security, where he managed their cloud security product portfolio. His previous roles include key product management positions at OneLogin, CA Technologies, and Netegrity, where he consistently delivered innovative identity solutions and drove growth.

Jeff Margolies, Chief Product and Strategy Officer at Saviynt, commented on the new appointment, stating, "We are excited to welcome Ehud to the Saviynt team. His wealth of knowledge and experience in product leadership in machine identity and cloud security, along with his track record for creating innovative solutions that solve customer challenges, make him a perfect fit for our product leadership team. Ehud joins our world-class product team focused on developing Saviynt's next generation of products that solve tomorrow's security challenges."

The increasing use of NHIs in organisations has expanded the attack surface significantly. Traditionally, identity security and governance have concentrated on human identities, leaving machine identities relatively under-protected and a critical blind spot for many organisations. Attackers have increasingly targeted machine identities, allowing them to move stealthily within networks and execute malicious actions. Saviynt aims to address these vulnerabilities through its new innovations in the field.

Commenting on his new role, Amiri said, "I have known the executive team at Saviynt for many years and am excited to be joining the company at this pivotal point in the evolution of the role of identity security and governance, especially as it pertains to NHIs. I believe we are at the beginning of a cycle of immense change because of AI. AI and cloud have been pushing an exponential growth in usage of these types of machine identities like secrets, service accounts, API keys and tokens. Unlike human identities, these are harder to discover, govern and control, and represent a growing attack surface which is being abused today. I am excited to lead a strong team at Saviynt that is obsessed with customers' biggest challenges."

Amiri's appointment comes as organisations increasingly adopt AI and cloud technologies, leading to exponential growth in the use of machine identities. These identities, often in the form of secrets, service accounts, API keys, and tokens, are more difficult to govern than human identities, representing a growing area of concern in cybersecurity. With Amiri's leadership, Saviynt aims to provide comprehensive security solutions to close this gap and safeguard all types of identities.
