Radware & Cirion enhance Latin America cyber security

Tue, 10th Sep 2024

Radware has announced the signing of a managed security service provider (MSSP) agreement with Cirion Technologies.

According to this agreement, Cirion Technologies will invest in Radware’s Cloud DDoS Protection Service and offer it as a service to customers across Latin America. This new engagement expands the existing channel relationship between the two companies.

Cirion Technologies, recognised for its extensive network across Latin America, aims to enhance its security offerings through this partnership. Eduardo Freitas, senior director of data products at Cirion, commented, “Through our strategic partnership with Radware, we intend to offer our customers a premium security-as-a-service solution that delivers automatic protection, faster mitigation, better accuracy, and excellence in service and support.”

Radware’s Cloud DDoS Protection Service is noted for its ability to deliver automatic protection against distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks. It operates using advanced behavioural algorithms which adapt to specific attackers, aiming to block malicious traffic while ensuring legitimate traffic remains unaffected. The service also includes real-time monitoring, detailed analytics, and comprehensive reporting capabilities.

Arie Simchis, Radware’s regional director in Latin America, remarked on the expanded relationship, stating, “We look forward to an expanded relationship with Cirion, helping them open new revenue streams while delivering state-of-the-art cloud DDoS protection for organisations across Latin America. As cyber attacks increase in sophistication and grow exponentially in number, more organisations are opting for hosted security services and entrusting leading providers like Cirion with protecting their networks and applications.”

Cirion Technologies, with over 30 years of experience and a presence in 20 countries, serves more than 5,500 Latin American and multinational clients. The company operates 18 data centres across the region and maintains over 95 direct connections to carriers and cloud providers. The integration of Radware’s DDoS services is seen as a strategic move to enhance Cirion’s existing security portfolio, which already includes Radware’s Cloud Application Protection Services.

Freitas highlighted the benefits of Radware’s solution, noting, “Radware’s unique and customised MSSP model not only enables us to get into the market faster, but also meet the DDoS protection needs of a wide range of customers across the region— from small businesses and enterprises to downstream internet service providers.”

Radware's offerings are designed to mitigate various forms of cyber threats, including the latest wave of layer 7 Web DDoS attacks, while ensuring network and application performance is optimised. Cirion’s customers will benefit from these enhanced security measures, allowing them to manage the integrated best-in-suite solution through a single pane of glass, which helps reduce operational costs and prevent zero-day attacks.

Cirion's investment in Radware's solutions aligns with its commitment to innovation and anticipating the evolving needs of its clients. The partnership is expected to deliver comprehensive protection and support to a diverse range of customers, providing robust defences against escalating cyber threats
