Qualys integrates its security solutions suite with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure
Tue, 6th Feb 2024

Qualys, the disruptive cloud-based IT, security, and compliance vendor, has revealed that its award-winning suite of security solutions, including Qualys Vulnerability Management, Detection and Response (VMDR), and TotalCloud, is now fully integrated with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). These Qualys TruRisk vulnerability and cyber risk reduction solutions are now accessible on the Oracle Cloud Marketplace, enhancing the existing OCI Vulnerability Scanning Service-integrated Qualys experience.

The Oracle Cloud Marketplace serves as a unified hub for Oracle customers, offering trusted business applications and services with unique solutions that extend Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications. With this recent collaboration, the foundations of the existing BYOL (bring your own license) integration with OCI have been expanded to deliver a full platform of Qualys solutions to the Oracle Cloud Marketplace.

The integration of the Qualys platform facilitates organisations in defending their hybrid IT environments, offering a consolidated view of their security stance. There are significant benefits to be gained from aligning all processes and standards within a unified interface, including lowering the total cost of ownership as well as data centralisation. Furthermore, organisations can utilise their existing Oracle Universal Credits to acquire Qualys solutions, which can be accessed through private offers via the Oracle Cloud Marketplace, providing an easy one-click orchestration and purchase system.

Sumedh Thakar, president and CEO of Qualys, stated: "The key to protecting public cloud workloads lies in adopting a cloud-native approach to securing your resources in a hybrid IT environment. This partnership with Oracle delivers built-in security and compliance via the TruRisk Platform, enabling organisations to tap into the security and compliance expertise they need to measure, communicate, and eliminate risk across their digital environment."

David Hicks, group vice president of Worldwide ISV Cloud Business Development at Oracle, added: "Through our partnership with Qualys, customers can now leverage the Qualys platform and its suite of solutions for comprehensive visibility into misconfigured or vulnerable instances and container images." Hicks also emphasised that this continued cooperation underscores their shared commitment to delivering customer value by providing even easier access to Qualys solutions.
