Phosphorus names Brett Raphael Chief Revenue Officer amid growth
Phosphorus has announced the promotion of Brett Raphael to Chief Revenue Officer, with responsibility for the company's global revenue strategy and execution.
Raphael has previously served as Interim Chief Revenue Officer and Senior Vice President for the Asia Pacific Japan region. In his new capacity, he will oversee all aspects of global revenue, including sales operations and customer relationships. His appointment comes amid a period of substantial growth for Phosphorus, with significant increases in personnel and customer activity worldwide.
Chris Rouland, Founder and Chief Executive Officer at Phosphorus, commented on the appointment, stating:
"Brett is a proven leader building winning teams, driving record growth, and forging client partnerships that deliver real results for our customers. At a time when the market is thirsty for a platform that doesn't just alert on xIoT problems but actually fixes them, Brett has built a customer-first sales organization on a mission to help organizations secure and manage what was never possible before. His leadership will be key as we scale, expanding our reach, strengthening our edge, and creating even greater impact for our customers."
Raphael joined Phosphorus from CrowdStrike and since then has played a notable role in establishing and developing the company's presence in the Asia Pacific Japan region. Following this, he expanded his leadership remit to a global scope.
During his tenure, Phosphorus has experienced growth in both new customer acquisitions and the expansion of services among existing customers. Company information indicates that, since Raphael assumed the role of interim Chief Revenue Officer, there has been a marked global investment in personnel to support multinational clients.
Phosphorus reported that customers have now used the platform to scan over 5 billion IP addresses. This process has allowed client organisations to discover, manage and secure previously unknown devices in need of cybersecurity management.
Other operational metrics have highlighted increased engagement with the platform's features. The firm detailed a 157% annual rise in extended Internet of Things (xIoT) device password rotations and a 65% year-over-year increase in firmware updates through its platform. These figures suggest that organisations are progressing from purely discovering vulnerable or unidentified devices to actively automating remedial security actions.
Brett Raphael described his new role and the company's current trajectory, saying:
"Phosphorus has built a strong reputation for delivering exceptional value to its clients through deep domain expertise and a culture of innovation. The opportunity to lead the revenue organization at this time in the company's growth and market expansion is truly exciting."
According to the company, Raphael's promotion is designed to reinforce the executive leadership team as part of a broader strategy to support continued global expansion and meet increasing enterprise demand for security and management of extended Internet of Things devices.
