Optiv upgrades to CyberArk identity security for all staff in 30 days
CyberArk has announced that Optiv has implemented the CyberArk Workforce Identity Security solution across its entire organisation.
According to CyberArk, Optiv has transitioned more than 2,500 employees from its legacy single sign-on (SSO) system to the CyberArk Identity Security Platform in less than 30 days. The move was completed without interrupting access to hundreds of applications deemed essential to company operations.
Privilege controls
Optiv has a longstanding relationship with CyberArk through its use of CyberArk's Privileged Access Management (PAM) system to secure access for its IT and cybersecurity teams. The latest rollout expands Optiv's approach to identity security, making privilege controls and secure sign-in experiences available across all workforce identities. Optiv and CyberArk have stated that managing and securing every identity requires applying appropriate privilege controls across the board.
"As a trusted advisor to enterprises navigating today's evolving threat landscape, it's vital that we lead by example," said Scott Goree, Senior Vice President of Partners and Alliances at Optiv. "Our collaboration with CyberArk reflects our commitment to deploying technologies that are both secure and user-centric. Together, we're delivering world-class identity security services that strengthen our own operations and those of our clients."
This collaboration is not limited to the deployment within Optiv itself. The partnership spans over a decade, with Optiv also acting as an expert integrator, Managed Service Provider (MSP), and reseller for CyberArk's identity-first security products. Over the years, Optiv and CyberArk have worked together on more than 500 projects for 220 mutual enterprise customers, leveraging a dedicated team of CyberArk-certified professionals employed by Optiv.
Long-term partnership
Optiv has been an early participant in programmes such as the CyberArk MSP Hub, offering a range of managed identity services. It has also been recognised as CyberArk's Americas Partner of the Year for ten consecutive years. This ongoing relationship highlights the collaborative effort to make both privileged and general workforce identity security a foundational aspect of client organisations as well as within Optiv itself.
"Optiv sets the standard for partnership," said Chris Moore, Senior Vice President of Global Channels at CyberArk. "They are not only a key customer, but a force multiplier in delivering CyberArk's identity security innovations to the enterprise market. Their commitment to securing both privileged and workforce identities — internally and for clients — underscores why they remain one of our most valued collaborators."
Broader impact
The integrated approach between Optiv and CyberArk demonstrates an expanding industry focus on privilege controls and comprehensive identity management. Security industry trends continue to emphasise the need for robust access management as organisations contend with evolving cyber threats. Both companies state that ensuring a secure yet user-friendly experience remains central to addressing these challenges.
With the CyberArk Workforce Identity Security solution now in place across Optiv, the company is positioned to further support its enterprise customers in deploying identity security strategies that align with regulatory frameworks and business operational requirements. The transition also exemplifies how companies can replace legacy IT systems with minimal disruption to ongoing work, supporting business continuity while enhancing security.
