Optic Security Group has partnered strategically with Cyber Resilience Group to deliver comprehensive digital and physical security risk services to the Australasian market.

Ferzad Bharucha, Chief Executive Officer of Optic Security Group, discussed the new collaboration combining Optic's existing physical security capabilities with Cyber Resilience Group's (CRG) digital security expertise. "This is a next phase in Optic's continuing journey towards delivering a new suite of advisory and managed services to the market, converging our existing physical security risk management capabilities with a fit-for-purpose digital security capability," he said.

As part of the partnership, Grant McKechnie from CRG has been appointed as Optic's Chief Security Officer in an advisory capacity. His role is to guide the implementation of services designed to enhance the security posture and cyber resilience of both Optic and its clientele.

McKechnie will contribute to elevating Optic's information security management and ensuring the Group's practices are at the forefront of industry standards. He will also lead the delivery of integrated digital-physical security advisory services to external customers.

The expanded array of services offered will include security risk assessment and management, security awareness training, incident response planning, penetration testing, data protection, privacy compliance, security monitoring, and consulting services.

Bharucha highlighted McKechnie's extensive industry experience, stating, "Grant is a seasoned Chief Information Security Officer and Senior Risk Leader with over two decades of experience in cybersecurity and IT leadership. He has held key positions at some of the country's largest corporations, including Endeavour Group, Telstra, NAB, BP, and NBN Australia."

The partnership between Optic Security Group and Cyber Resilience Group signals a significant step toward offering more comprehensive security solutions in the Australasian market. With the combined expertise of both firms, particularly in the areas of physical and digital security, the collaboration aims to address the growing complexities of security threats faced by organisations.

By leveraging McKechnie's extensive leadership experience and the expanded service offerings, Optic and CRG are positioned to support businesses in enhancing their overall security and resilience in an increasingly interconnected world.
