Nozomi Networks has launched Nozomi Compass, an asset and service management platform for operational technology environments. It is aimed at industrial organisations managing cyber risk and system changes across critical infrastructure.

The platform is designed to address the gap between faster vulnerability detection and the slower operational processes used to respond. Many industrial operators still rely on spreadsheets, IT ticketing systems and manual workflows that do not fit operational technology, or OT, environments.

Built on Nozomi's existing real-time asset data, Compass is intended to serve as a system of record for OT and IoT assets. It allows users to plan, approve, execute and document changes through workflows designed for industrial operating conditions.

The launch is part of a broader effort to combine cyber-physical systems security with OT service management in a single platform. The goal is to give operators one view of assets, threats, workflow approvals and compliance records.

Industrial companies are under growing pressure to improve visibility and response times as artificial intelligence tools speed up the discovery of vulnerabilities, anomalies and exposures. Suppliers say the challenge is that remediation and change management often remain tied to older internal processes built for conventional IT estates rather than plant environments.

Compass includes workflow logic based on OT requirements such as safety windows, process dependencies and asset relationships across Purdue levels. It also tracks lifecycle history and records approvals and actions tied to risk decisions.

The platform also includes compliance reporting. It generates continuous evidence mapped to frameworks including NERC CIP, IEC 62443, NIS2 and TSA, with the aim of reducing manual audit preparation.

It is also designed to feed governed OT data into wider enterprise systems already used by customers, including enterprise asset management, configuration management databases, IT asset management, IT service management, security information and event management, and security orchestration tools.

Andrea Carcano outlined the company's view of the product's role in OT operations.

"Nozomi Compass underpins our vision to provide a single source of truth for visibility, threat detection, governed workflows, compliance evidence, and trusted AI-enabled operational decision-making," said Andrea Carcano, Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder of Nozomi Networks.

"Until now, operators have been working with an ineffective IT-native toolset to service their OT assets. As industrial organizations incorporate AI automation to keep pace with today's threat and regulatory landscape, they cannot live in the unknown. Compass is the foundation that allows teams to move quickly with confidence," Carcano said.

The launch expands Nozomi's product set beyond monitoring and threat detection into day-to-day service management inside industrial operations. Rather than adapting a general IT service management product, the company is positioning Compass as a tool built around operational constraints in factories, utilities and other critical infrastructure settings.

Moreno Carullo said the divide between IT and OT has shaped how service tools are deployed in industry.

"OT and IT service management have always spoken different languages," said Moreno Carullo, Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer of Nozomi Networks.

"Nozomi Compass is purpose-built around how industrial operations work, including safety windows, process dependencies, and physical consequences, so teams can finally govern change and prove compliance without forcing OT data into an IT-shaped box," Carullo said.

Compass will be available to existing customers in January.
