Milestone & IQSIGHT launch SmartSuite for XProtect
Milestone Systems and IQSIGHT have launched SmartSuite, a consolidated integration that brings IQSIGHT video analytics and device functions into Milestone's XProtect video management software.
SmartSuite combines three existing plug-ins into a single suite. According to IQSIGHT in-house testing, this can cut installation time for system integrators by up to 70%. SmartSuite is available globally at no charge.
SmartSuite embeds IQSIGHT Intelligent Video Analytics (IVA) in XProtect, keeping configuration, analytics, and operations within the XProtect interface instead of separate tools.
Single console
The integration places analytics metadata directly in XProtect. Operators can view colour-coded bounding boxes, object classification, trajectory lines, and gunshot direction indicators on video. SmartSuite also supports forensic search and real-time metadata visualisation for analytics features including Appearance and Personal Protective Equipment.
IQSIGHT also highlighted compatibility with IVA Pro Visual Gun Detection, which it describes as detecting a person brandishing a gun and issuing an alert. The companies pointed to sites such as schools, where faster threat identification is a priority for security teams.
Setup changes
For integrators and security teams, SmartSuite adds deployment and commissioning tools. One is Project Assistant import, which automatically brings camera names, groups, network settings, and image adjustments into XProtect for supported devices, speeding commissioning by reducing manual setup.
SmartSuite also includes panoramic de-warping and adds hardware controls such as wipers and infrared illumination where supported by the camera.
It also lets users configure IQSIGHT cameras from within the XProtect Management Client. This removes the need to log into each device during rollouts and reduces switching between management environments when adjusting settings across a site.
The package also introduces fast event subscription, positioned as a simpler way to set up alarms and notifications in XProtect triggered by analytics events.
Partnership context
The release extends a long-running relationship between Milestone and the business now branded as IQSIGHT, previously known as Bosch Video Systems. SmartSuite is positioned as a closer link between camera-side analytics and video management software.
Milestone develops XProtect and also owns analytics and cloud video products including BriefCam and Arcules. It is based in Copenhagen and is part of the Canon Group. IQSIGHT sells video security products including FLEXIDOME, AUTODOME, and MIC cameras, and says it holds more than 600 patents.
Milestone linked the integration to its open platform strategy for connecting third-party devices and analytics to XProtect deployments.

IQSIGHT said the goal is to bring analytics results into day-to-day monitoring workflows rather than keeping them in separate tools used only for investigations.

SmartSuite is also being presented at ISC West, with demonstrations planned at both companies' booths.
