Marco Corrent appointed to head Carbon Black ANZ channel

Carbon Black has appointed Marco Corrent as channel director for Australia and New Zealand as the security vendor looks to broaden its ANZ channel scope.

Corrent, whose previous roles include heading up Hewlett Packard’s South Pacific channel for enterprise security and channel sales management roles with Blue Coat Systems and Trend Micro, says the channel is playing a key role in Carbon Black’s global expansion.

Corrent is tasked with broadening the channel’s scope in Australia and New Zealand.

“Cyber crime continues to grow in both volume and ingenuity and it’s clear that endpoints are a prime target for today’s advanced attackers,” Corrent says.

“As a result, Carbon Black is experiencing strong demand for its endpoint security solutions,” he adds.

Kane Lightowler, Carbon Black Asia Pacific and Japan managing director, says channel partners are the lifeblood of Carbon Black’s business.

“Nowhere is this more apparent than in Australia and New Zealand where value-added resellers, MSSPs and incident response firms all partner closely with Carbon Black to solve their customers’ cybersecurity challenges,” Lightowler says.

“Having an experienced leader like Marco ensures that our diverse partner ecosystem will be given great support to leverage our products and, in turn, help grow their businesses in this exciting sector.”

Corrent, who was most recently South Asia regional partner manager for Tanium, spent three years as regional channel director for Hewlett-Packard South Pacific’s enterprise security products. Other roles include ANZ channel account manager for Tandberg and then Cisco partner account manager after it acquired Tandberg.
