Lenovo has joined forces with Microsoft to enhance cybersecurity and manage increasing risks through a new solution known as Cyber Resiliency-as-a-Service (CRaaS). The joint effort aims to simplify and strengthen the process of threat detection, response, and recovery.

Given that industries such as healthcare, finance, and critical infrastructure are increasingly implementing AI technology, the demand for advanced cybersecurity measures is escalating. This is particularly pronounced in high-growth areas like the APAC region and Singapore where cyber threats including ransomware, cybersecurity-as-a-service, and supply chain attacks rank high. Such regions, immersed in rapid digital transformations, create gaps in their cyber defenses making them appealing to cybercriminals.

One of the most challenging aspects of maintaining cybersecurity is managing the vast array of security tools and potential for vulnerabilities they introduce. This often results in a poorly integrated mix of solutions struggling to protect a network as a whole. Professionals from both Lenovo and Microsoft will elaborate on this issue, emphasising the need for dynamic, consumption-based cyber technology for most effective protection against hackers.

This unique collaboration allows Lenovo to develop cutting-edge security solutions based on Microsoft technology including Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Defender, and Microsoft Sentinel. It aims to enhance cybersecurity posture and facilitate the prevention, detection, and recovery from disruptive cyber events. The CRaaS offering addresses security challenges faced by businesses of all sizes, simplifying enterprise security deployment and reducing overhead costs.

CRaaS will be enhanced further by Lenovo's involvement in the Microsoft Security Copilot Partner Private Preview. The latter is the first AI-powered security product enabling security professionals to react swiftly to threats and evaluate risk exposure within minutes. It leverages a state-of-the-art large language model informed by Microsoft's extensive global threat intelligence and more than 65 trillion daily signals.

Aligning with major cyber defence controls, CRaaS includes continuous risk assessment, automated security updates and patches, dynamic threat intelligence, incident response and recovery planning, regular compliance audits, and data backup and recovery services. Lenovo’s suite of CRaaS security services is expected to be available globally by April 2024.
