Keeper Security integrates with ServiceNow enhancing cybersecurity posture
Keeper Security, a principal provider of zero-trust and zero-knowledge cybersecurity software, has today announced that Keeper Secrets Manager (KSM) can be incorporated with ServiceNow. This integration allows businesses to administer and guard their secrets through a comprehensively managed, cloud-based platform that is cost-effective and effortless to implement.
KSM is Keeper's platform dedicated to securing infrastructure secrets such as API keys, database passwords, access keys and certificates. KSM ensures safety in an organization's environment and prevents secrets sprawl by eliminating hard-coded credentials from the source code, config files, and CI/CD systems. ServiceNow offers procedural automation, service management, and business-process automation solutions to businesses globally. Via the integration, ServiceNow customers can use KSM for an efficient and secure on-demand discovery, incident response, and as a custom credential provider.
Craig Lurey, CTO and Co-founder of Keeper Security, said, "By integrating with Keeper, ServiceNow users now have the ability to dynamically retrieve credentials from the Keeper Vault without storing any credentials on the instance. This furthers our mission to provide cost-effective, efficient, and robust cybersecurity solutions and empowers DevOps and DevSecOps teams with the critical tools they need to manage and protect their secrets."
Erica Volini, Senior Vice President of Global Partnerships at ServiceNow commented, "Partnerships succeed best when we lean into our unique skills and expertise and have a clear view into the problem we're trying to solve. Keeper Secrets Manager extends our reach well beyond where we can go alone and represents the legacy and goals of the Now Platform. I am thrilled to see the continued innovation we will achieve together to help organizations succeed in the era of digital business."
This integration offers an enhanced security posture as the ServiceNow Management, Instrumentation, and Discovery Server's combination with the Keeper Vault allows ServiceNow Orchestration, ServiceNow Discovery, and ServiceNow Service Mapping to seamlessly retrieve credentials from the user's vault. Critically, no credentials are stored on the ServiceNow instance, thus avoiding integration and audit challenges while reducing an organisation's attack surface. Secret sprawl can now be eradicated by ServiceNow users through this integration with KSM, thus avoiding potential substantial security risks and compliance issues.
Supporting external credential storage for discovery and orchestration and allowing usage as a Custom Credential Provider, this new integration provides customers with exceptional security, efficiency, and ease-of-use. The KSM and ServiceNow integration is currently available in the ServiceNow Store.
