
Fortinet names Nicole Henry new ANZ Head of Government Affairs
Fortinet has appointed Nicole Henry as Head of Government Affairs for Australia and New Zealand to lead its engagement with government stakeholders and support public sector cybersecurity initiatives across both countries.
Nicole Henry will be responsible for steering Fortinet's government affairs strategy at a time when collaboration between public and private sectors is considered increasingly essential for addressing cybersecurity threats and ensuring national security.
In her new role, Henry will lead efforts to advance cybersecurity legislation and regulatory frameworks across both Australia and New Zealand. She will also provide insights into government priorities and cybersecurity requirements, ensuring Fortinet's solutions remain aligned with the evolving needs of government agencies and institutions.

Nicole will also contribute to shaping Fortinet's regional strategies to reflect national interests and evolving compliance obligations, taking into account global cybersecurity trends. Her role is intended to position Fortinet as a proactive contributor to public sector transformation and digital trust initiatives.
Bringing more than twenty years of experience in public policy advocacy, government relations, and stakeholder engagement, Nicole Henry has served in senior advisory roles across both the public and private sectors, working at the interface of government, industry, and research to foster national strategies and international partnerships.
Prior to joining Fortinet, Henry was responsible for the Trade, Americas, Europe, and India branch within the International Strategy and National Security Division of the Department of Industry, Science and Resources. She previously served as the inaugural Counsellor to Indonesia on a diplomatic posting for the Department, focusing on establishing strategic relationships aligned with government priorities.
Her previous roles include Head of Business Engagement and Program Management for the Simplified Trade System Implementation Taskforce and Chief of Staff to the Chief Scientist of Australia. Throughout her public service career, Henry has led national initiatives in hydrogen, battery technologies, digital trade, and regulatory reform. She has also represented Australia at international forums such as the World Trade Organisation (WTO), Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC), and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN).
Henry is recognised for her ability to turn complex policy into practical outcomes and for her skills in fostering collaboration between government, research, and industry to shape effective national strategies. Her experience in policy, regulation, and cross-border engagement is considered valuable to Fortinet's mission of strengthening cyber resilience and protecting critical infrastructure.
