Entrust takes cloud-based IAM solution to AWS Marketplace
Fri, 16th Dec 2022
FYI, this story is more than a year old

Entrust is now offering its cloud-based identity and access management (IAM) solution in AWS Marketplace, a digital catalogue with thousands of software listings from independent software vendors that runs on Amazon Web Services (AWS).

Entrust Identity as a Service (IDaaS) offers a cloud-based solution that includes multi-factor authentication (MFA), passwordless login, and risk-based adaptive authentication that supports implementing a zero trust approach to security.

According to the company, customers demand seamless experiences while also requiring organisations to secure their every interaction. In addition, rising cloud adoption and the need to support a hybrid workforce amid growing threats is accelerating the implementation of zero trust frameworks across enterprise and government environments.

This framework is based on an identity-first security approach, one that helps ensure identity and access privileges with the right level of strong authentication. Entrust IDaaS allows organisations to quickly deploy an IAM solution for employees, customers, or end users.

In order to maintain a high-security posture with a simple user experience, the solution features:

  • Passwordless login to improve security and reduce friction
  • Public Key Infrastructure (PKI)-based mobile smart credential login delivering high assurance authentication
  • Adaptive MFA for secure access for all users
  • Single Sign-On (SSO) so users can authenticate once and eliminate password fatigue
  • Role-based access control (RBAC) to facilitate easy onboarding
  • Simple and seamless integration through open developer tools

James Lapalme, Vice President of Identity at Entrust, says, “Entrust Identity as a Service availability in AWS Marketplace showcases the security and scalability of the platform that complies with the strong standards and requirements set by AWS and its customers.

"AWS customers can help speed time to value by shortening the procurement cycle and deploying a flexible cloud-based identity and access management solution that includes industry leading adaptive multi-factor authentication and passwordless capabilities to secure access for all users.”

Marc Harpster, Global Lead, Startups and New Technologies, AWS Marketplace Business Development at AWS, comments, “AWS Marketplace helps AWS customers find, try and buy software solutions from companies like Entrust, providing streamlined procurement, and consolidated billing on the customer's AWS bill.

"We are excited to welcome Entrust, and their Identity as a Service offering in AWS Marketplace. This new listing from Entrust will enable AWS customers to quickly deploy a cloud-based Identity and Access Management (IAM) solution to secure access for their users and customers.”

Eduardo Concha Concha, Manager of Technological Architecture & CORE Development of BancoEstado, comments, “We strive to deliver services that go beyond customer expectations, with a focus on financial inclusion and digitalisation. Entrust has helped us deploy technologies that better position us to meet these goals in two key areas: mobile and online banking services and instant card issuance.

"Adopting mobile and online customer authentication allows us to provide frictionless and secure access to our digital banking services, and offering new contactless chip-enabled debit cards in branch helps us fill our customers needs quickly. Implementing these solutions via secure cloud services has allowed us to scale our operations up or down depending on business needs, while offering a seamless experience for our valued customers and improving our data security posture.”

The Entrust IDaaS offering on AWS provides comprehensive identity and access management solutions for both consumer and workforce use cases, the company states.
