Dynatrace earns 'Protected' status for Azure solution in Australia
Dynatrace has announced that Dynatrace SaaS on Microsoft Azure has achieved the "Protected" level of the Australian government's Information Security Manual (ISM), following an assessment conducted by an Information Security Registered Assessors Program (IRAP) certified assessor.
The assessment, carried out by Sekuro, a cybersecurity and digital transformation company, enables Dynatrace to serve the Australian government with its platform, which provides AI-powered observability, automation, and application security, hosted on Microsoft Azure.
This status allows Dynatrace to support internal IT teams to secure infrastructure and meet the stringent security and compliance requirements necessary for secure digital interactions, thereby facilitating digital transformation initiatives at scale. Additionally, the assessment benefits Dynatrace's customers across industries such as financial services, utilities, and telecommunications by aligning with cybersecurity standards mandated by government agencies.
Rafi Katanasho, Vice President of Solution Engineering and CTO, APAC at Dynatrace, commented, "Attaining IRAP at the "Protected" level signifies Dynatrace's continued investment in our security posture, as well as in the region and public sector. This accreditation not only enables us to better serve the government sector with the highest level of performance and security, but also further strengthens our position as a trusted partner for enterprises across industries while extending our reach for customers which have chosen Microsoft Azure as their preferred cloud partner."
The IRAP assessment is a methodical process outlined in the Australian Government Information Security Manual (ISM), required for the adoption of security platforms and tools from external vendors by government departments. This programme ensures that data processed and collected within the Dynatrace Platform meets the "Protected" level requirements specified in the June 2023 version of the ISM.
During the assessment, Sekuro collaborated closely with significant Dynatrace stakeholders, conducting documentation reviews, technical configuration assessments, process observations, remote interviews, and necessary evidence collection.
Previously, Dynatrace had achieved "Protected" status for its SaaS platform on Amazon Web Services (AWS) last year.
Rafi Katanasho additionally stated, "Our commitment to investing in security capabilities and expanding partnerships is a testament to our dedication towards providing AI-powered observability and security solutions that meet the evolving needs of our diverse public and enterprise sector customer base."
