Delinea boosts EMEA, APAC growth with senior hires
Delinea has appointed three senior executives across Asia Pacific and Europe as it expands sales and channel operations outside the US.
The identity security vendor has named Cynthia Lee as Vice President, APAC; Chris Waynforth as Vice President, EMEA North; and Adam Perks as Director of Channel, EMEA.
Spence Young, Senior Vice President, EMEA & APAC, linked the appointments to shifts in how organisations manage identity and access as their technology estates evolve.
"Across EMEA and APAC, organisations are accelerating cloud adoption, embracing AI automation, and modernising their approach to identity security," Young said. "Identity has become the control plane for modern enterprises, and security leaders are looking for solutions that reduce risk without slowing innovation. Bringing on leaders like Cynthia, Chris, and Adam strengthens our regional expertise and channel momentum to meet this demand and support customers at even greater scale."
APAC focus
Lee will lead Delinea's APAC business, working with customers and partners across the region to drive growth.
She has more than 20 years' experience in cybersecurity, including senior leadership roles at Cyberint, Aqua Security, and CyberArk. Delinea said her background includes building and scaling regional sales functions and increasing enterprise adoption.
APAC remains a priority market for many security suppliers as cloud migration accelerates, regulatory scrutiny increases, and companies face shortages of specialist security skills. Identity-related incidents also continue to feature in breach investigations, with attackers often seeking privileged access and lateral movement once inside a network.
Delinea's product messaging centres on identity security for both people and machines, with authorisation controls delivered through a centralised approach. It positions identity as a core layer for access governance across cloud services and on-premises environments.
EMEA leadership
In Northern Europe, Waynforth will lead regional sales strategy and execution, with a remit that includes expanding enterprise relationships and winning new customers across EMEA North.
He joins from Performanta, where he served as Chief Revenue Officer, and has also held leadership roles at Imperva and Splunk.
Perks will oversee partner and alliance activity across the region as Director of Channel, EMEA. His responsibilities include expanding strategic alliances, increasing partner-initiated revenue, and embedding a co-sell approach across the EMEA sales organisation.
He has more than two decades of experience in channel and alliance roles in cybersecurity and enterprise software, including positions at Riverbed Technology, NetBrain, and Aternity.
Product roadmap
The appointments come as Delinea develops its product roadmap around AI and authorisation. It recently launched the Delinea Iris AI engine, described as an AI component within its platform.
Delinea has also announced plans to acquire StrongDM, a deal it said will add just-in-time runtime authorisation to the Delinea Platform. The acquisition has not been completed.
Identity and access management has become a crowded market, with large platform vendors and specialist providers competing for enterprise budget. Many organisations are also reassessing access controls for developer tools, cloud infrastructure, and automated workloads. This has increased attention on machine identities and short-lived credentials, as well as methods that reduce standing privileges.
The latest hires signal a push for regional execution through local leadership and partner coverage. Delinea expects demand across EMEA and APAC to track broader changes in enterprise IT, including increased use of cloud services and automation.
"Identity has become the control plane for modern enterprises, and security leaders are looking for solutions that reduce risk without slowing innovation," Young said.
