CyberCX extends partnership with Australian Open for 2025
CyberCX will continue its role as the Official Cyber Security Partner of the Australian Open in 2025 by extending its partnership with Tennis Australia.
CyberCX is entering its third year of partnership with Tennis Australia, during which it has been providing cyber security services to support the Grand Slam tournament. The company's efforts are aimed at safeguarding the prestigious sports event from cyber threats, ensuring the event's smooth operation without interference.
CyberCX Chief Executive Officer John Paitaridis expressed his enthusiasm for continuing the partnership. "It's a privilege for CyberCX to be partnering with Tennis Australia over a number of years, and we are proud once again to be the Cyber Security Partner of the Australian Open as the eyes of the world turn to Australia for one of the pre-eminent sporting events globally," he stated.
Paitaridis also highlighted the broader mission of CyberCX to safeguard public interests: "Our mission at CyberCX is to protect the communities in which we live, and sport is integral to the fabric of communities right across Australia. CyberCX is committed to working closely with sporting organisations and government to help defend and protect our key sporting codes, clubs and events."
Tennis Australia Chief Commercial Officer Cedric Cornelis also commented on the partnership: "We are delighted to continue our partnership with CyberCX - Australia's leading cyber security provider. As the biggest sport and entertainment event globally in January, it's critical that we have the right supports in place and expertise on hand, which is why our partnership with CyberCX is such an important one."
In addition to its role with the Australian Open, CyberCX has been active in other major Australian sports organisations. Earlier this year, CyberCX became the Official Cyber Security Partner of the Collingwood Football Club. The company is involved in enhancing the club's cyber security measures and protecting against potential cyber threats.
CyberCX is also the appointed cyber security partner of Australia's national rugby teams, the Wallabies and Wallaroos. For Rugby Australia, CyberCX is responsible for conducting cyber incident simulations, performing organisational risk assessments, and enhancing cybersecurity measures.
