CyberArk has named Jeremy Sim as Area Vice President Channels for the Asia Pacific and Japan region.

In his new position, Sim will be responsible for leading the company's channel business across Asia Pacific and Japan, with a focus on driving partner engagement and enablement.

Sim joins with over two decades of experience in enterprise technology. His career has included work with international brands such as OutSystems, Qlik and SAS. He has developed expertise across the partner lifecycle, including partner acquisition and onboarding, as well as business planning and performance management.

According to CyberArk, Sim's appointment reflects the strategic importance of the company's reseller and channel partner ecosystem in the region as businesses seek to address identity security risks amid increasing digitisation and growing cyber threats.

Vincent Goh, President and General Manager, Asia Pacific and Japan, CyberArk, commented on the appointment: "As CyberArk expands in Asia Pacific & Japan, our partners continue to play a critical role in our success. Jeremy's strong track record in channel management and ability to navigate the region's complexity and diversity make him invaluable to our team. Under Jeremy's channel leadership, we look forward to synergising with our partners to meet the identity security needs of organisations."

Sim highlighted the importance of partner networks in addressing the region's dynamic security requirements. He said: "I was drawn to CyberArk because of its strong reputation in helping organisations secure identities in a rapidly shifting digital world. I am excited to work with them to support our customers in strengthening their security defences."

Sim's expertise in developing customer-centric channel ecosystems and enabling partner-led growth is expected to play a key role in the company's expansion plans for Asia Pacific and Japan. CyberArk's approach in the region emphasises collaboration with partners to deliver identity security offerings that respond to current and emerging business needs.

His previous roles have involved guiding channel partners through stages of acquisition and performance delivery, helping companies to align business objectives and streamline operations in the enterprise technology space.

Sim's appointment follows a period in which organisations across the Asia Pacific and Japan have placed increasing emphasis on bolstering cybersecurity defences, particularly in the wake of rising incidents of identity-related threats.

The company has stated that investment in channel leadership is integral to its regional growth strategy, as it continues to address the demand for security solutions tailored to the unique challenges faced by businesses in different national markets within Asia Pacific and Japan.

CyberArk works with a network of partners to provide solutions that safeguard identities and protect organisations from unauthorised access, data breaches and other cyber risks, in industries ranging from financial services to healthcare and manufacturing.

Sim will lead CyberArk's efforts to strengthen relationships with current partners and identify opportunities to expand its reach in the region, delivering access to resources and support for organisations as they manage transformation initiatives and operational changes that introduce new identity security challenges.
