CSC adds .brand domain security to CrowdStrike Marketplace

ICANN opportunity

The listing gives CrowdStrike Marketplace customers access to CSC support for organisations considering applications under ICANN's New gTLD Program. The current application window runs until 12 August 2026, and the service is aimed at companies seeking advice on whether to apply for their own branded top-level domain.

The addition builds on CSC's existing integration with the CrowdStrike Falcon platform and is intended to help businesses align domain management and security more closely with broader cyber defence efforts.

Rising scrutiny

Domain names and DNS infrastructure are drawing greater scrutiny as companies confront phishing, impersonation and other attacks that exploit digital assets outside traditional network boundaries. AI has added to activity across those assets, increasing the volume and complexity of risks that security teams must track.

A .BRAND top-level domain allows an organisation to operate its own branded internet suffix instead of relying solely on country-code or generic domains controlled through existing registries. Supporters argue this gives companies tighter control over authentication and reduces exposure to lookalike registrations on third-party domains.

CSC says a branded top-level domain can serve as a DNS trust anchor with centralised authentication aligned to zero-trust principles. In practice, this means an organisation can verify that websites, portals and other online properties using its suffix are first-party assets under its direct control.

CSC manages more than one-third of all .BRAND domains, giving it a notable role as companies assess whether the next ICANN application round is worth the cost and operational commitment of running a dedicated top-level domain.

Marketplace trend

The marketplace listing also reflects a wider trend in cybersecurity platforms, with vendors increasingly packaging specialist services through partner ecosystems instead of requiring customers to negotiate and integrate each product separately. For buyers, marketplace access can simplify procurement and place niche security functions alongside more established endpoint and threat-detection tools.

Ihab Shraim, Chief Technology Officer, CSC Digital Brand Services, said the security case for branded domains has become more prominent as organisations seek to establish trust in digital channels.

"Organisations can gain greater control over domain security with .BRAND top-level domains, strengthening trust, authenticity, and compliance in the AI era," said Ihab Shraim, Chief Technology Officer, CSC Digital Brand Services.

"As .BRANDs emerge as a meaningful security differentiator, we're excited to work with CrowdStrike to help the world's largest enterprises protect their digital presence. With CSC managing more than one-third of all .BRANDs and deep experience supporting ICANN's first application round, we're well positioned to help organizations elevate their security posture," added Shraim.

Attack surface

CrowdStrike framed the arrangement as a way to bring domain protection into a part of the security stack that many customers still treat separately from endpoint, identity and cloud monitoring. The approach reflects a broader industry shift toward treating domain infrastructure as part of the attack surface rather than as an administrative function handled in isolation.

Chris Stewart, Vice President of Technology Alliances and Cloud, CrowdStrike, said the addition addresses a layer of risk that often receives less attention than other security controls.

"Bringing CSC's .BRAND services into the CrowdStrike Marketplace helps customers address an often-overlooked layer of the attack surface-domain security," said Chris Stewart, Vice President of Technology Alliances and Cloud, CrowdStrike.

"Together, we're enabling organizations to integrate domain protection with the Falcon platform to better defend against modern adversaries and stop breaches," added Stewart.

The services are now available through the CrowdStrike Marketplace.
