Censys unveils community forum for security teams

Tue, 6th Aug 2024

Censys has announced the launch of a new community forum to enable security teams to share knowledge and learn from each other. This initiative seeks to provide a collaborative environment where security professionals can discuss threat hunting, attack surface management, and other areas of general security expertise.

The Censys Community Forum is a moderated online platform designed specifically for security practitioners. It aims to provide over 70,000 members with access to free resources and data-driven security solutions. The forum is expected to serve as a centralised repository of current and effective security measures, helping security practitioners stay ahead of emerging threats and protect their organisations' assets more effectively.

Matt Korovesis, Technical Community and Education Manager at Censys, said, "The Censys differentiator has always been our data, derived from cutting-edge global internet scanning infrastructure. Our mission is to serve the security community beyond just actionable intelligence. We are proud to offer an official, moderated community space for individuals to interact with each other, driving innovation and shared expertise."

This new platform reinforces Censys' commitment to being an authority on internet security, fostering a learning and development mindset across all levels. According to the announcement, the platform will enable the community to engage, share knowledge, and learn to optimise the use of Censys' solutions in their critical daily activities.

Sarah Ashburn, Chief Revenue Officer at Censys, highlighted the importance of community in their approach. "At Censys, we believe in the power of community, and this forum is designed to bring us all closer together, fostering connections and innovation with like-minded individuals. We are excited to launch another resource that makes security insights and actionable intelligence more accessible and relevant to users' needs - ultimately working together to strengthen skill sets and improve collaboration within the cybersecurity industry," she said.

The launch builds upon the strong momentum already in place with thousands of Censys users across its existing tools, such as Censys Search Solo and Censys Search Teams. The company also announced it would be previewing live demos of its beta version of Search 3.0, its next-generation search capability designed to continue powering threat-hunting and research teams with unparalleled data and insights.
