Canadian minister visits Genetec's Sydney Experience Centre
Genetec hosted The Hon. Mary Ng PC MP, the Canadian Minister of Export Promotion, International Trade and Economic Development, at its Sydney Experience Centre this week.
The Minister engaged in live demonstrations of Genetec's security solutions during her visit.
These included the AutoVu Cloudrunner, a vehicle-centric cloud-based system for investigations, and the Genetec Security Center SaaS, designed to unify access control, video management, automation, among other security features.
The Genetec Sydney Experience Centre, which opened in March 2024, showcases solutions in video management, access control, license plate recognition, and more.
The building is situated in Sydney's Tech Central Hub at 477 Pitt Street and serves as a centre for innovation and training for customers and partners.
This venue also supports the learning and certification of system integrator partners, helping them to better serve their clients with Genetec's products.
During her visit, Minister Ng held discussions with George Moawad, Genetec's Country Manager for Oceania, highlighting the significance of the trade agreement between Canada and Australia and recognising Genetec's contributions to strengthening these bilateral ties.
"Trade relations between Australia and Canada have developed into a strong partnership, particularly in the area of technology," Moawad said.
"Here at Genetec, we look forward to scaling our business operations in the region while continuing our ongoing product development to solve the most pressing physical security challenges among Australian public and private sector organisations."
He added, "We are delighted to have enjoyed the support of the Canadian government in our regional expansion into Asia and across New Zealand and the Pacific islands since launching operations in Australia in 2013."
