Bitdefender & CYPFER unite to strengthen global cyber recovery
Bitdefender and CYPFER have announced a partnership to integrate advanced incident response, investigation, and recovery services into Bitdefender's cybersecurity offering.
The agreement will add CYPFER's digital forensics and incident response expertise to Bitdefender's business portfolio, which includes its GravityZone security platform alongside managed detection and response (MDR) services.
The integration aims to provide organisations with support throughout the entire cyberattack lifecycle, spanning prevention, detection, forensic investigations, and operational recovery.
Expanded capabilities
Through this partnership, Bitdefender's existing suite of solutions-such as endpoint protection (EPP), endpoint detection and response (EDR), and extended detection and response (XDR)-will be supplemented by CYPFER's recovery-led approach. This combination is intended to serve businesses of any size facing sophisticated or large-scale cyberattacks.
"Cyberattacks have become increasingly opportunistic, targeting organisations of every size and exploiting everything from unpatched systems to zero-day vulnerabilities," said Andrei Florescu, president and general manager at Bitdefender Business Solutions Group.
"Through our partnership with CYPFER, we are extending affordable, market-leading protection, investigation, and recovery services to businesses worldwide, helping them not only defend against threats but also recover quickly and confidently in the unlikely event of a security breach."
The collaboration between the two companies is designed to streamline incident handling, providing businesses with a unified, integrated workflow. Crucially, this approach prioritises not just the detection and investigation phases, but also the swift restoration of normal operations after a breach.
Comprehensive workflow
According to Bitdefender, a key aim of the agreement is to allow organisations to seamlessly transition from attack detection to investigation and restoration, reducing delays and the risks associated with multiple handovers between different service providers.
The integration strengthens Bitdefender's incident response capabilities, offering faster containment of threats, deeper evidence-based investigations facilitated by CYPFER's digital forensics expertise, and a coordinated response to restore business operations.
By leveraging Bitdefender's global threat intelligence and the resources of multiple security operation centres, the partnership also enhances attack visibility and contextual analysis, while CYPFER brings incident response capabilities that have historically been relied on by governments, insurers, law firms, and enterprises.
"CYPFER is pleased to partner with Bitdefender to help close the cyber resilience loop, especially in cases requiring full-scale investigation and recovery," said Daniel Tobok, CEO of CYPFER. "From early detection to forensic investigation and recovery, our partnership gives businesses the continuity, certainty, and confidence they need to withstand and overcome cyberattacks."
Global reach and availability
Bitdefender and CYPFER state that their joint services will be available around the clock, with resources able to scale for incidents occurring anywhere in the world.
This capability is underpinned by their respective global operations-including Bitdefender's worldwide customer base and CYPFER's teams across North America, Europe, the Caribbean, Latin America, and the United Kingdom.
According to the companies, the collaboration is expected to provide the following benefits: multi-layered protection and recovery across the attack lifecycle, enhanced intelligence-driven investigations, a unified and efficient experience when moving from incident detection to restoration, and scalable support wherever an incident may arise.
The partnership's core services will now be available as part of Bitdefender's digital forensics and incident response offerings, allowing organisations to access expert help whether pre-empting threats or responding to active security incidents.
