Barracuda unveils advanced email protection enhancements

Barracuda Networks has announced enhancements to its Barracuda Email Protection, aiming to assist organisations in defending against sophisticated cyber threats.

The updates feature flexible deployment options and enhanced security capabilities, which allow organisations of varying sizes and IT environments to rapidly deploy the solution. These advancements support both pre- and post-delivery email threat defences. Organisations can deploy the protection in-line with or without modifying mail exchange (MX) records or through Application Programming Interface (API) integration, enabling immediate security tailored to their needs.

Proactive account compromise prevention is a key aspect of the update. Barracuda's monitoring system for both internal and outbound emails aims to detect early phishing attempts and suspicious activities. This additional layer of defence provides rapid alerting and risk neutralisation capabilities, allowing administrators to address threats promptly.
