Atturra has been named a Contender in the AI and Innovation Services quadrant of the ISG Provider Lens Public Sector Services and Solutions 2026 study for Australia. The ranking covers suppliers serving public sector organisations in Australia.

The assessment places the Australian technology services group among providers evaluated on market position, service portfolio and delivery for government clients. ISG's public sector study examines companies working with agencies across cloud, applications, data, cybersecurity and managed services.

According to Atturra, the recognition reflects its work with public sector organisations using artificial intelligence in service delivery and operations. It cited its presence across Defence and federal agencies, its security-cleared workforce and its use of sovereign cloud environments aligned with government security frameworks.

Factors highlighted include more than 350 security-cleared professionals supporting Defence and federal agencies. Atturra also pointed to work across Microsoft, TechnologyOne, SAP and Infor systems, alongside advisory, implementation and managed services.

Public sector focus

Artificial intelligence is drawing growing spending and policy attention from government bodies as agencies seek to automate processes, analyse data and improve access to services. At the same time, departments face tighter scrutiny around data residency, security, governance and compliance, particularly when systems are deployed in sensitive or regulated environments.

This has increased demand for suppliers that can combine technical delivery with knowledge of public sector procurement, regulation and operational requirements. In Australia, those requirements often include sovereign hosting and alignment with the Information Security Manual, the Infosec Registered Assessors Program, the Protective Security Policy Framework and the Essential Eight.

ISG's assessment of Atturra focused in part on that operating environment. Harish Bala, Senior Manager and Principal Analyst, ISG, said, "Atturra is a highly capable partner for the Australian Public Sector, combining deep government expertise with sovereign delivery, security-cleared talent and end-to-end capabilities across cloud, applications, data, cybersecurity and managed services. Its ability to bring these capabilities together gives agencies a strong partner for delivering complex transformation programs securely, at scale and with a clear understanding of Australia's unique public-sector requirements."

AI investment

The recognition comes as Atturra expands its work around AI-led transformation in government and other sectors. Its approach combines data, integration, cloud and enterprise applications with support for agencies adopting emerging technology under established security and governance controls.

Atturra works with customers across Defence, education, government, financial services, manufacturing, resources and utilities, though the ISG ranking relates specifically to public sector services in Australia. In that market, suppliers have sought to position themselves around practical uses of AI rather than experimental deployments, with buyers typically requiring evidence of risk controls and measurable operational benefits.

Atturra said agencies are moving beyond earlier modernisation programs towards more data-led operations, including intelligent automation, predictive analytics, generative AI and virtual assistants. These use cases form part of a broader shift in government technology spending, as departments are expected to improve citizen services while managing costs and maintaining security standards.

Market positioning

Provider Lens studies are widely used by enterprise and public sector buyers as independent assessments of technology and service providers. Rankings such as Contender indicate where a supplier sits relative to peers in a specific market segment.

For Atturra, the result adds to its growing emphasis on AI in market positioning. Stephen Kowal, Chief Executive Officer, Atturra, said, "This recognition reinforces Atturra's position as an end-to-end transformation partner for government organisations seeking to modernise services, unlock the value of data and responsibly harness the opportunities of AI."
