Arctic Wolf & Wiz team up on cloud security response
Arctic Wolf has partnered with Wiz to integrate Wiz's cloud security technology into Arctic Wolf's security operations platform. The integration is available globally.
The partnership links Wiz's cloud risk detection and prioritisation tools with Arctic Wolf's 24/7 security operations, with the aim of giving customers investigation, containment and response workflows for cloud threats. It is intended to close the gap between detecting cloud issues and responding to them in real time.
The move comes as more organisations shift workloads to the cloud and face pressure to manage a broader range of security risks with limited specialist staff. Arctic Wolf says it works with hundreds of small and medium-sized businesses and mid-market organisations in Australia and has about 70 local employees.
Cloud Response
The integration brings Wiz into the Arctic Wolf Aurora Superintelligence Platform. Wiz provides visibility into cloud infrastructure, misconfigurations and attack paths, while Arctic Wolf adds guided investigation, containment and remediation support across cloud environments.
The offering is designed to reduce the operational burden on security teams by adding response support without requiring extra staff or a new 24/7 in-house operation. It also aims to help customers move more quickly from identifying risks to acting on them.
Cloud security vendors have invested heavily in recent years in tools that detect misconfigurations, vulnerabilities and suspicious activity across increasingly complex infrastructure. Yet many businesses still struggle to turn those alerts into practical response steps, particularly when security teams are small or split across multiple providers.
The challenge is particularly relevant in markets such as Australia and New Zealand, where channel partners often support customers that have adopted cloud services quickly but do not have large internal cyber teams. Local providers have increasingly focused on managed security services and outsourced operations as customers seek ways to handle rising alert volumes and skills shortages.
"Cloud security has advanced quickly on the detection front, but response remains a significant challenge for many organisations," said Dan Schiappa, President of Technology and Services at Arctic Wolf.
"By integrating Wiz with Arctic Wolf's response capabilities, customers can act on cloud threats quickly, without the cost or complexity of building a SOC. As our collaboration continues, we're focused on the next steps: expanding automation, scaling response coverage, and delivering cloud response that makes securing cloud environments faster, more efficient, and more effective," Schiappa said.
Partner Focus
For Arctic Wolf, the deal also supports a broader push to use AI across security operations and deepen ties with channel partners that sell and manage cyber services for end customers. The company has been broadening its platform approach as vendors race to combine monitoring, investigation and response into more unified managed services.
Wiz, now part of Google Cloud, has built its position in cloud security around visibility into assets, risks and application environments. By aligning with managed security providers, it can extend beyond detection into operational response, where many customers still rely on internal teams or separate incident response specialists.
"At Wiz, we look for partners that can act as force multipliers," said Andy Ritchie, vice president of global channels and alliances at Wiz.
"Arctic Wolf is a unique example of this, simultaneously serving as a high-credibility customer, an elite GTM partner, and a key WIN technology ally. This 'one motion' partnership model allows us to accelerate our joint market presence and helps ensure that our shared customers benefit from the most integrated and responsive cloud security stack available today," Ritchie said.
Wiz also described the partnership as part of its broader ecosystem strategy. The integration is available through WIN, the company's partner framework for extending its products through third-party technology and service providers.
"We're happy to welcome Arctic Wolf to the WIN ecosystem," said Oron Noah, vice president of product, extensibility and partnerships at Wiz.
"Together, we're making it easier for customers to detect threats early, prioritise what matters, and take action before risk turns into impact," Noah said.
Arctic Wolf says the local market is seeing a shift in how partners position cyber services, as cloud adoption and the use of AI create more complexity for customers and resellers alike.
"What we're seeing across ANZ over the past few years is a real shift in how partners approach cybersecurity. It's become a core part of their go-to-market strategies. But at the same time, they're still dealing with very real challenges around skills, resourcing and just the sheer amount of noise in the market.
"As more customers move into cloud and start layering AI into their environments, that complexity only increases. What partners are telling us is they don't need more tools. They need a way to deliver outcomes without having to build everything themselves.
"That's why we're excited to be working with Wiz and bringing them into our ecosystem here in ANZ. It strengthens what we can offer partners, combining Wiz's cloud visibility with our security operations to deliver something far more practical for customers to operationalise. It means organisations can actually act on risk, not just identify it, and that's exactly where we're seeing the most value and momentum across our local partner network," said Michael Ben, Channel Director for ANZ at Arctic Wolf.
