Mon, 16th Oct 2023

The NC Protect product from archTIS Limited, a global software solutions provider, has been acknowledged as the Policy Management Solution of the Year at the 7th annual CyberSecurity Breakthrough Awards. This prestigious international award programme is hosted by CyberSecurity Breakthrough, a leading independent market intelligence organisation. The panel recognises top achievements in the global information security market.

This year's CyberSecurity Breakthrough Awards captured global attention, with nominations pouring in from over 20 different countries. The wide scope of categories assessed in the programme included Cloud Security, Threat Detection, Risk Management, Fraud Prevention, Mobile Security, Email Security and many more. The organisers aim to honour excellence and recognise innovation, hard work and success in various information security areas.

Explaining the rationale behind the award, Steve Johansson, Managing Director at CyberSecurity Breakthrough, stated, "NC Protect is our choice for Policy Management Solution of the Year as it provides a proactive data-centric approach to access and security." He highlighted that NC Protect enforces an organisation's compliance policies for users and devices effectively, showcasing a solution that leads in access and security. "The simple, fast and dynamic solution efficiently controls access to content, usage rights, and how authorised users can share and with whom," added Johansson.

NC Protect uses Attribute-based Access Control (ABAC) to tailor information protection and compliance across Microsoft and file share applications. This includes enforcing compliance and data security policies for global privacy regulations, intellectual property, PCI, HIPAA, Defence information security mandates and other policies. The solution offers real-time granular control, effectively managing what users can do with the information once access is granted.

archTIS Managing Director and CEO Daniel Lai, while expressing gratitude for the recognition, stated, "We designed NC Protect to be proactive and dynamic as a reactive approach is no longer sufficient to manage security." Daniel drew attention to NC Protect's ability to secure information and enforce compliance requirements using adaptable policy-based controls. He pointed out the solution's aptitude to mitigate threats from both internal and external actors, providing safer data access, sharing and collaboration. "This recognition complements our second Defence Cyber Security Company of the Year award in September, demonstrating the momentum archTIS is gaining in the market," Lai added.

CyberSecurity Breakthrough Awards, part of Tech Breakthrough, serves as a global recognition platform for technology innovation and leadership in information security. The award programme provides a robust platform to recognise and publicise the achievements of breakthrough information security companies and their innovative products.
