Arc secures DSTG contract for advanced defence project
Arc Professional Services has secured a contract with the Defence Science and Technology Group (DSTG) for its involvement in the Resilient Decision Highway (RDH) project.
The project aims to enhance collaborative problem-solving, situational awareness, and operational decision-making within the Australian Defence Force and its Five Eyes (FVEY) partners.
The RDH project was initiated in 2019 and focuses on providing timely situational awareness and operational insights to intelligence analysts and warfighters through the use of automated intelligence capabilities. Arc Professional Services' participation in this project demonstrates its ongoing commitment to advancing defence technology and national security initiatives.
Jeremy Stredwick, Managing Director of Arc Professional Services, expressed his satisfaction with the contract win. "As a Sovereign SME company, winning this contract is a testament to our team's dedication, expertise, and unwavering commitment to supporting the Australian Defence Force and its allies. We are honoured to play a role in the RDH project, leveraging our experience in supporting complex integration projects to deliver innovative solutions that enhance operational effectiveness," he said.
Arc will collaborate closely with DSTG and other stakeholders to develop and maintain the RDH's platform infrastructure. The tasks will include creating new analytic capabilities and designing user interfaces to improve collaboration between humans and machines. An Agile development methodology will be employed to ensure adaptability and responsiveness to evolving requirements.
Key aspects of Arc's contributions to the RDH project include the development and maintenance of secure, cloud-native platforms and DevSecOps pipelines to accelerate the deployment of new capabilities. Additionally, the company will focus on creating synthetic reasoning agents and dynamic orchestration systems for integrated, mission-agnostic analytics. Efforts will also be made to enhance user experiences to facilitate effective collaboration between AI systems and end-users, thus improving decision-making and situational awareness. The automation of current manual workflows, with an emphasis on sensor fusion and tracking, aims to prove the utility of RDH to operations capability managers.
Stredwick highlighted the goals of the project, stating, "Our goal is to provide DSTG with seamless integration and exceptional cost-effectiveness. By reducing friction in our processes and focusing on direct project outcomes, we can deliver superior solutions quickly and efficiently. This ensures DSTG can fully leverage our capabilities, making the RDH project both innovative and practical."
Arc's commitment to cost-effective engagement emphasises flexibility, responsiveness, and the delivery of tangible results. The company aims to minimise bureaucratic processes and underscore direct collaboration to optimise the RDH project's success.
Additionally, Arc Professional Services has been acknowledged as a Veteran Employer of Choice, showcasing its dedication to supporting Australian Defence Force veterans' transition to civilian careers. Stredwick commented on this recognition, stating, "We are immensely proud to have been awarded the Veteran Employer of Choice recognition. This accolade highlights our dedication to supporting veterans and underscores our commitment to integrating their invaluable skills and experience into our workforce. Their contributions significantly enhance our ability to deliver high-quality, innovative solutions to our Defence clients."
