ThousandEyes makes three senior appointments across Aus

ThousandEyes, an internet and cloud intelligence company, has bolstered its Australian market presence with three new senior appointments.

Mike Hicks has been appointed principal solutions analyst.

Based in Perth, Hicks joins ThousandEyes with more than 25 years' experience in consulting and product management within the IT industry. 

During this time, he has worked for both the public and private sectors in Europe, North America and across the Asia Pacific providing support to sites with large complex networks, including the Ford Motor Company, Cisco Systems and European Space Agency.

Hicks was formerly product development director at Ikara Group where he was responsible for leading the organisation in research for new products, product enhancements and product design.

He also previously worked in application performance management consulting director roles at several vendors including  Compuware, Dynatrace, OPNET Technologies, ISA Technologies and Alphawest.

Christian Anders has been appointed as a regional sales manager, based in Melbourne with responsibility for driving momentum for the ThousandEyes platform among regional data centers and medium to large enterprises.

Anders joins ThousandEyes with over 30 years' experience in the IT industry during which time he has had a successful career in sales and business management roles for hardware, software and services vendors.

Most recently, he was a major account manager at Splunk. 

In recent years, Anders also specialised in business analytics at Pivotal, GreenPlum, QlikView, SAS and Computer Associates, selling into large enterprise customers, including Telstra, ANZ, NAB, NBN Co, Coles and Rio Tinto.

James Barker also joins ThousandEyes as a regional sales manager, based in Sydney. 

Barker has more than 15 years' experience in the IT industry and was formerly Major Account Executives at Akamai Technologies where he was responsible for the organisation's new media business across Australia and New Zealand.  He previously worked in the UK in account executive positions for Verizon Media, CDNetworks and Dynatrace.
