Singtel adds Fortinet cybersecurity to its Paragon platform marketplace
Thu, 29th Feb 2024

Singtel, in collaboration with Fortinet, the global cybersecurity company, has successfully onboarded Fortinet’s advanced cyber security solutions to Singtel’s Paragon Platform Marketplace, deemed the 'app store' for enterprise solutions.

An industry first, Singtel's Paragon is an all-in-one orchestration platform designed for 5G, edge computing, and cloud, developed to make 5G technology more accessible to enterprises. This remarkable technology, known for its speed and reliability, is a game-changer, accelerating enterprise digital transformation across the globe. Paragon aims to reduce the time, cost, and complexity related to deploying and managing low latency applications and services, thus lowering the barriers for enterprises to adopt 5G.

The collaboration will enable a powerful combination of Singtel’s advanced network capabilities and Fortinet’s top-tier security technologies. Included is the FortiGate VM Next Generation Firewall, which is set to provide Paragon enterprise users with plug-and-play cyber security solutions. With the extension of the Fortinet Security Fabric to the Singtel's Paragon Platform, clients can expect new options for the secure deployment of 5G and Multi-Access Edge computing applications.

“Enterprises worldwide face a growing threat from increasingly sophisticated bad actors," said Mr. Bill Chang, CEO of Singtel's Digital InfraCo. "To mitigate the risk of their intellectual property and customer's personal data being peddled on the dark web, a resilient cyber security posture is a business imperative. Our collaboration with Fortinet brings tested, enterprise-grade solutions to Paragon Platform Marketplace, which Paragon customers can leverage to protect themselves from these threats. We will continue to actively work with leading technology companies to make available their solutions on our Paragon Platform Marketplace, so enterprises can digitalise with confidence."

Mr. Vishak Raman, Vice President of Sales, India, SEA & ANZ, Fortinet, expressed his views on the collaboration, citing the initiative as demonstrating their shared vision for a digitally secure world. It sets new standards in cybersecurity, particularly for 5G networks. "Together with Singtel, we're not only reinforcing existing defences but also innovating to address the evolving threats in the digital and 5G domains," he said. “Our collaboration is a proactive step towards safeguarding the digital world, ensuring that our advanced security solutions are perfectly attuned to the unique requirements of this new technological age."

Fortinet’s security solutions will therefore undergo evaluation and validation within Singtel’s 5G security lab. This process will ensure that Paragon customers receive reliable and effective security solutions that are ready for immediate deployment. The solutions are available for uptake effective immediately with more to be progressively made available.
