FYI, this story is more than a year old

Australian-wide security integrators PMT Security have announced that experienced security industry professional Tony Dabbs has joined the company, moving into the newly-created role of security development manager.

Dabbs' primary responsibility for PMT Security will be to manage all interaction with one of the organisation's major retail banking customers, including day-to-day security maintenance and services across more than 900 retail outlets and fifteen commercial properties across Australia.

Dabbs joins PMT Security with an extensive track record in security integration, having held technical, sales and general management positions at a number of leading companies.

Over the last 15 years, he has worked in the product distribution space, predominantly selling video surveillance and associated solutions.

He also brings to the role experience working directly with finance and banking organisations, an asset that will be very useful to PMT's customer portfolio.

“Tony has been in and around the security industry for a long time and has a great deal of knowledge and experience. He also brings extensive contacts right across the industry, and his direct experience within the retail and commercial banking sector will be invaluable to our services in that sector.

“Dabbs joins PMT Security at a time when the company is recording a strong growth trajectory, having added several new senior roles to the company roster over the past 12 months. The company is also broadening the scope of industries in which they specialise, and gaining expertise and certifications with a host of cutting-edge technologies driving innovation and change in the security industry.

“PMT Security has been a client of mine for many years, and when the opportunity arose to join the business I was delighted. PMT Security's national presence, the capability of their staff and systems, quality customer base and sound financial capacity position them strongly in the market to continue to grow, and provide a great level of service to their customers,” says Dabbs.

PMT is a wholly Australian-owned company, providing a complete spectrum of customised security solutions.

In April of this year, PMT released the UNVUSS-TIC500, a thermal camera solution that screens people entering a premises to establish if they have a fever, which can potentially help combat the spread of infectious diseases such as COVID-19.

The solution is being distributed in Australia by Australian wholesaler Seadan Security and Electronics.

The ‘in-a-box' solution includes all components required for complete thermal body scanning including camera, tripod and ‘black-body', which is used in the body temperature screening system to improve temperature measurement accuracy.
