One Identity a Visionary in Magic Quad for PAM

12 Dec 18

One Identity, a provider of identity and access management (IAM), has been named a ‘Visionary’ in Gartner’s 2018 Magic Quadrant for Privileged Access Management (PAM).

“Privileged access management is one of the most critical security controls, particularly in today’s increasingly complex IT environment,” says Gartner.

“Security and risk management leaders must use PAM tools in a long-term strategy for comprehensive risk mitigation.

After evaluation, Gartner recognised OneIdentity as a Visionary, based on its completeness of vision and ability to execute.

The methods that hackers use to gain access to systems and data are constantly evolving but, ultimately, hackers want access to privileged accounts as they allow virtually unlimited access to critical network assets, applications, and data.

In many recent high-profile breaches, privileged accounts have been exploited because existing PAM fails to keep up with the growing threat.

As the number of privileged accounts, as well as the users requiring access, continue to grow, so do the volume and types of attacks.

One Identity simplifies PAM by securing, controlling, monitoring, analysing and governing privileged access to critical organisational data and applications.

Its PAM solutions enable users to provide the full credential when necessary or limit access with granular delegation for least privileged access.

All privileged activity is recorded, down to the keystroke for real-time analysis of activity and data.

“As organisations face an increasingly volatile cyber threat landscape in which hackers’ methods to penetrate corporate systems and data continue to evolve, effective privileged access management has never been more critical,” says One Identity president and general manager David Earhart.

“At One Identity, we’re unwaveringly committed to providing simple yet powerful solutions to make implementing and using PAM solutions easier for administrators and more effective in protecting businesses. To us, being recognised as a Visionary in Gartner’s Magic Quadrant for Privileged Access Management and a Leader in Gartner’s Magic Quadrant for Identity Governance and Administration validates our continued dedication to our innovation and growth across the IAM market.”
