Ingram Micro Australia signs up AlienVault

06 Nov 17

Ingram Micro Australia has inked a deal which will see it providing its Australian channel partners with access to AlienVault’s security and threat detection suite.

Kelly Johnson, Ingram Micro Australia general manager software, says the agreement will give partners access to AlienVault’s Unified Security Management platform, providing them with strong additional commercial opportunities to expand their security offerings to their end user customers.

“We are delighted to partner with AlienVault here in Australia,” Johnson says.

“Their technology and security solutions are the perfect complement to our already robust security portfolio.”

Johnson says AlienVault offers one of the best native solutions for AWS and Azure cloud infrastructure, and also provides ‘outstanding’ protection for Office 365 environments.

“For government dempartments and companies that have to ensure they meet mandated security standards, AlienVault provides the necessary peace of mind,” she syas.

Johnson says the distributor has already seen strong demand for the vendor’s security management platform.

Mike LaPeters, AlienVault vice president of global channel sales, says Ingram Micro Australia was chosen for its market reach and ‘impressive expetise in security and cloud’.

“Ingram Micro understands the needs of our market,” LaPeters says.

“Teaming with Ingram Micro will enable us to provide its network of partners with the robust capabilities of our unified security management platform,” he adds.

“We look forward to working with Ingram Micro to expand our footprint and enable channel partners to proactively detect and respond to today’s threats in cloud, on-premises and hybrid cloud environments.”

The deal builds on one earlier this year between Ingram Micro and AlienVault, covering the United States, Europe and META.
