FYI, this story is more than a year old

ExtraHop, a cloud-native network detection and response (NDR) company, has named Rohan Langdon its first country manager for Australia and New Zealand.

Langdon is based in Melbourne and will be responsible for further increasing the company's ANZ presence in the enterprise security market. He will also support the company's overall regional growth strategy, providing regional enterprises with universal visibility and advanced threat defence for cloud workloads.

He joins ExtraHop with 20 years of sales, account management, and business development experience in the IT industry. Langdon previously worked at ForeScout Technologies as country manager for Australia and New Zealand, where he restructured the company's go-to-market strategy and expanded channel presence on the ground, resulting in energised partner engagement and increased new logo customer acquisition.

Before that, he held regional ANZ sales director positions at McAfee, Salesforce, and EMC. He managed regional teams and worked with channel partners to deliver vendor momentum.

"Rohan is a dynamic leader with deep knowledge of the ANZ market and is highly experienced in creating and implementing market-leading sales strategies," says ExtraHop international sales leader, Marc Andrews.

"As APAC continues to take on an increased significance for our global business, we are confident that Australia and New Zealand will quickly emerge as one of our primary growth engines under Rohan's leadership."

Speaking on his latest position, Rohan Langdon says, "I am delighted to join ExtraHop at this pivotal juncture in the IT security industry where organisations of all sizes are embracing digital transformation with a resulting proliferation of new platforms. At the same time, they increasingly need to manage an ever-increasing attack surface, comply with local regulations, and stay ahead of the ongoing cybersecurity threats posed by today's attackers.

"ExtraHop has a market-winning product portfolio, developed by the best talent in the security industry, that positions organisations to accurately gain visibility to best understand and reduce their cyber risk.

"This is a compelling combination that will further strengthen our market leadership in the ANZ region," he adds.

ExtraHop grew annual recurring revenue (ARR) by 47% to nearly US $140 million in 2021, prompted by 54% year-over-year growth in new customer acquisition and rapid adoption of its Reveal 360 SaaS offering. ExtraHop also experienced 44% growth internationally with an expanding footprint in strategic markets including Japan, Germany, Australia, and the Middle East.

Langdon's appointment follows the company recently naming Patrick Dennis as its chief executive officer. Dennis' appointment comes after outgoing CEO Arif Kareem's decision to retire. Dennis will work alongside the ExtraHop executive leadership team to increase the company's current momentum. He has nearly 25 years of experience leading high-growth public and private companies in the security and information technology markets, including CEO roles at Guidance Software and Alvaria and leadership positions at EMC and Oracle.
