Exclusive: Bitdefender on ensuring cyber safety in today's threat landscape
Security solutions expert Bitdefender was founded in Romania just over 20 years ago and has continued to work with businesses and consumers of all sizes to ensure they have the ultimate secure digital experience.
As complex cybercrime continues to increase across the globe, Bitdefender's ultimate goal is to continue to be a trusted cybersecurity provider with expert skills and technologies to help.
And what makes Bitdefender stand out in the growing cybersecurity market? They say it's the proud heritage of their antivirus (AV) for consumer customers and the deep threat intelligence built into many of their products. They make their mark as relevant to complex enterprise and consumer customers alike.
"CISOs, and security teams struggle to keep up with the constantly changing threat landscape, supply chain security issues, and malware like ransomware," says Bitdefender country manager for Australia and New Zealand Greg Ryan.
"Bitdefender solutions are recognised by leading third-party tests like MITRE, AV-TEST and AV-Comparatives, as well as industry top analyst firms for efficacy in threat detection and prevention, but also for ease of use and deployment, which are important to mid-sized and smaller organisations that make up the vast majority of the market."
And the company has seen rapid growth over its impressive history, expanding to new offices in the U.S., Germany, the UK, and recently an enterprise business in ANZ.
On the enterprise side of the business, the company provides a range of security-as-a-service solutions for managed detection and response (MDR), as well as GravityZone security packages that are built for a variety of different business sizes and profiles.
They recently also unveiled GravityZone XDR, which provides rich security context, correlation of disparate alerts, out-of-the-box analytics, rapid triage of incidents and attack containment across a business's entire environment.
A significant focus is also put on partners, and the company recently launched the MDR Foundations solution, which has been built specifically with managed service provider (MSP) partners in mind. The solution delivers prevention, detection and response, and 24x7 monitoring and proactive expert threat hunting to customers.
Ryan says that Bitdefender solutions stand out for mid-sized enterprises across multiple verticals who want tailored security solutions, and the company is excited to be assisting in the ANZ market.
"The Bitdefender MDR offering is one of the best on the market and tailored for mid-sized organisations, such as those in the education, healthcare, local government and fintech/financial services markets who often have limited on-site security resources," he says.
"Globally, we have seen growing adoption of Bitdefender MDR in these verticals, and believe that we can replicate this success here as well. I'm excited to be part of Bitdefender and help solve critical cybersecurity challenges ANZ businesses continue to face."
As the company expands, they are also hiring candidates who would like to be a part of helping tackle complex cybersecurity challenges.
"We have a range of available roles across the business and across regions right now and, more importantly, the training tools in place to build the 'cyber warriors' the world needs."
