FYI, this story is more than a year old

Endpoint protection company Cylance held its first APAC partner advisory council in Sydney last week, bringing together the company's top channel partners, customers and visiting executives.

As part of the summit, Cylance presented a range of awards to its partners including CyberRisk (Australia), who picked up ANZ partner of the year and Regal IT (Australia), who won emerging partner of the year.

VMtech (Australia) also was tapped as Cylance's solution provider of the year while Nexus Technologies (Philippines) was awarded Asia partner of the year. Director of CyberRisk, Leon Wang says, “We are delighted and honoured to receive Cylance Partner of the Year award 2017/2018. Our investment and commitment in Cylance and its products and services have allowed CyberRisk to support many organisations' security strategy.

“Information security has made its way to the top of the list of priorities for our customers, and they are increasingly turning to us for solutions that help them stay ahead of the most advanced threats and attacks. Cylance enables our customers to keep their organisation's safe and secure from zero-day threats and malware,” Wang continues. Regal IT and Vintek group director Paul Vinton also says his organisation is thrilled with the recognition from Cylance.

“Regal IT and the Vintek Group are pleased to be awarded the Cylance Emerging Partner of the Year award and we are excited to be partnering with an innovative, next-generation technology company in the marketplace,” Vinton says.

“We see it as a strategic partnership to place the group at the forefront of AI technology in helping to deal with endpoint security across the corporate and BYO landscape, a massive issue in the C level and board thought space.

“It really is an exciting partnership that we see growing rapidly into the future in our managed services and data center footprint across Australia, New Zealand and south-east Asia.” Cylance says it has achieved 423% year-on-year customer growth in APAC and the awards recognise the instrumental role their partners have played in driving these growth margins.

Cylance executive vice president of sales and operations John Giacomini says, “Our solid growth in the APAC region has been in no small part due to the regional channel partners who have helped us shape our go-to-market strategy and have provided valuable insight and feedback along the way.

“With the growing Cylance team in-region supporting the efforts of the channel, I am confident in our continual success and impact.
