CyberArk named Gartner PAM Leader for seventh year running

Fri, 17th Oct 2025

CyberArk has been recognised as a Leader for the seventh consecutive year in the 2025 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Privileged Access Management.

Recognition for PAM

The Gartner report evaluates tools that manage privileged access for both human and machine identities. In the assessment, CyberArk was positioned furthest for Completeness of Vision, an aspect the company believes is a direct reflection of its focus on developing future-ready privilege access management solutions.

CyberArk's Identity Security Platform secures all identities-including those belonging to humans, machines, and artificial intelligence-by applying what the company describes as modern privilege controls. The platform brings together privilege management, threat detection, and operational efficiency into a single, unified offering usable across cloud and on-premises environments.

Importance of identity security

As access requirements across organisations become more complex, the need for effective privileged access management (PAM) has grown significantly. CyberArk's privileged access solutions are designed to secure credentials, secrets, and access points across distributed environments. This approach is intended to enable zero standing privileges and to help prevent security breaches while also improving the efficiency of organisational operations.

"We believe that CyberArk's recognition by Gartner as a Leader in privileged access management is testament to our security-first vision of protecting all identities, including human, machine and AI," said Matt Cohen, CEO of CyberArk. "CyberArk continues to shape the future of privileged access management through relentless innovation, investment in R&D and strategic acquisitions. As an increasing number of identities in enterprises gain privileged access, it is more critical than ever for organisations to secure all identities at scale with intelligent privilege controls. CyberArk's comprehensive, AI-powered identity security platform enables organisations to do just this, helping them address their most critical identity security challenges and stay ahead of emerging threats."

Key platform elements

CyberArk identifies several aspects of its platform that it says set it apart in the marketplace. These include broad platform breadth, continuous development of new features, global availability, a focus on customer experience, and return on investment.

The company's solution offers both on-premises and Software as a Service (SaaS) delivery, intended to secure access for any identity type in any environment. It has received strong industry ratings in Windows Privilege Elevation and Delegation Management (PEDM), remote privileged access management (RPAM), PAM for Machines, and Privileged Access Session Management (PASM).

CyberArk invests in research and development to address new challenges such as AI agent threats, workload protection, and identity discovery. The company's platform includes CyberArk CORA AI, which is designed to provide rapid detection and response to identity threats through data-driven decision-making.

The platform is deployed by more than 10,000 organisations worldwide, including over half of the Fortune 500. With operations spanning multiple regions, CyberArk delivers what it describes as localised services to meet compliance and security needs in diverse markets.

Customer satisfaction and financial benefits

CyberArk reports a customer satisfaction score exceeding 95% and a high support rating on third-party review platforms. The company highlights the importance it places on customer experience, supported by both internal data and independent assessments.

According to a study produced by an independent party, organisations using CyberArk achieve an average annual benefit of USD $3.1 million per organisation. The same study indicates that customers see a three-year return on investment of 309%. Consolidation of security tools through CyberArk's cloud-native approach is said to produce additional annual savings, with estimates suggesting that average workflow streamlining results in savings of USD $275,000 per 10 protected business applications.

Continuation in the PAM market

CyberArk's continued status as a Leader in the Gartner Magic Quadrant for Privileged Access Management reflects ongoing industry trends around increased reliance on identity-driven security measures across both traditional and modern IT workplaces. The evaluation in the Gartner report is based on various criteria, including completeness of vision and ability to execute, and takes into account the needs of organisations securing both existing and newly emerging types of digital identities.
